I picked 2. I have seen a few of the movie but I can’t remember much about them and they really are not my thing. My DH loves them. Saying that I would love to go back to Disney to see Galaxy Edge ( was in construction when we went) and would probably love it just like I loved Pandora without seeing Avatar.

Never seen one movie. Never going to see one movie. Think the Star War rides at WDW are way overrated!!

I've seen them all because my wife likes them. But we have vastly different experiences with the first Star Wars in 1977.

My wife was working at a theater, and it was a zoo at her theater the first week it opened.

I say it three times at special Press Previews at a different theater in the same city and there were never more than 25 people in the theater.

Maybe a 4…

Never really understood the hype or gotten into all the lore & universe-building, but I really liked Han Solo & Princess Leia.

I think Luke is whiny & way too self-righteous & self-important.

I’ve seen all 3 of the original movies at least a few times over the years, & my favorite is Return of the Jedi.

I haven’t seen all of the newer movies, but, of what I’ve seen, I wasn’t impressed. I think there could have been SUCH a better & more compelling backstory for Anakin (& Padme), but the writers & the guy who played Anakin completely ruined it. There was so much wasted potential w/ what could have been both an epic story AND an epic love story.

And, then, when Disney brought it all back & killed Han Solo, I was pretty much done. And, additionally, I just really didn’t like the new stories - again, I think there was a lot of wasted potential. The storylines & characters are both, at the same time, too complicated & confusing, but yet not complex or compelling. And, like another poster said, the whole thing feels very money-grabby to me on Disney’s part - they took someone else’s creation & Disney-fied it.

The kids now watch the various shows on Disney + & really like The Mandalorian, but I don’t think they’ve seen all of the new movie & show spin-offs.

When our older 2 kids were younger, there was a period of a few years when our older son was really into Star Wars, & it was fun then seeing it through their eyes. His 7th birthday was Star Wars themed. They built their own star sabers (the cheaper variety) at one of the stores back when it was Downtown Disney, & both he & our daughter were picked out of the crowd to fight Darth Vader at Disney Studios - do they still do that?

I voted "3" -- I was a kid when the first series came out and I enjoyed them. My cousin had some of the toys and we enjoyed playing with them. But that's kind of where it ended.

My husband is a mega-super-fan. He had, like, every toy from when the original movies were out (all carefully boxed up in our basement with all their little toy guns, etc. My MIL would apparently go through the vacuum cleaner bag looking for them if one accidentally got swept up. (My mother would not have done that -- and I didn't expect her to. I lost more than one Barbie shoe to the vacuum cleaner. "Well, I guess you should have picked them up if you wanted to keep them!") He bought tons of toys when the second set of movies came out. When our kids were little he got them lots of Star Wars toys (even if they weren't that interested).

He LOVES all the new Star Wars stuff and thinks it's amazing that a whole new generation is learning to love Star Wars and much as he does. Me -- I'm kind of sick of it all. I have now seen the original movies 384 times each (I haven't actually counted, but it's a lot). I have zero interest in clone troopers, or Mandalorian this or that. I think the acting in the Mandalorian show is AWFUL, but he loves it. I am glad he's got something he's excited about, but...no thanks.

It's the 385th time that does the trick! He'll make you a convert yet. 🙂

For the first three released starting in 1977 -- 7-8.

For ALL the others, meh. Rides - meh. Sorry. I watched The Mandalorian with DH, but only for camaraderie.

I voted 3 because I think that "Baby Yoda" is adorable.. otherwise I do not get into Star Wars stuff.

I'm a fan but mostly of the original 1977 movie. I wasn't as enamored of any of the other movies, although I enjoyed them well enough. I didn't like some of the directions the story took - I still don't like that they made Darth Vader Luke's father and Luke and Leia brother and sister. But that's just me! :)

i saw the original movie 13 times in the theater in 1977 and to this day there still hasn't been any movie that took over popular culture the way SW did that year.

In all honesty…..On a scale of 1-9. with 9 being the most, how much of a Stars Wars fan are you?

*This is for everything Star Wars - the movies, the shows on Disney+, Galaxy’s Edge at the parks - all of it.

*The reason why I ask “In all honesty” is because I’m curious if there really is that many people that think Star Wars is absolutely the greatest thing ever, or if there’s a lot of bandwagon fans. If you are a bandwagon fan, please let us know. This is just for fun - nobody will throw anything at you :duck:

*Inspiration for this poll is Mando and Grogu recently made their debut at Galaxy’s Edge at HS in WDW. The crowds around him were crazy big - he’s very popular. I’ve seen videos at DL and it’s the same way.

For Me…..I’m a 2 - not a fan :sad2:
I’ve seen the first three movies, more than once, but I don’t need to see anymore - no interest.
I’ve walked through Galaxy’s Edge in HS, and I was very impressed with the area, very very awesome with how everything looked. We spent very little time there because my DH & DD19 aren‘t fans either.

I keep telling myself I should take the time to watch everything I haven’t seen, but I just can’t do it. My interest is Harry Potter and Pirates of the Caribbean. If Captain Jack was walking around the MK, I’d be one of the people in that crazy crowd - LOL!

I love it all.

We went to the Halloween party at MK this past October and dressed up as Star Wars characters. ODD also dressed up as Ahsoka Tano when she went to school on Halloween...I did her face make up and if I do say so myself, it looked pretty darn great.

We've watched every Mandalorian, Book of Boba Fett, Andor, and Obi Wan Kenobi TV series episode together as a family. DH & I introduced our kids to Star Wars when they were little and never looked back. I grew up playing with the action figures as a kid. Am planning on going to one of the Star Wars Celebration conventions one of these days. DH has been collecting big Star Wars Lego sets...we have the gigantic Millenium Falcon one, but haven't put it together yet.

Our whole family are Star Wars super nerds. We've had whole big Star Wars debates over which movies or characters are best. But we're all in agreement that the TV series that Dave Filoni and Jon Favreau are producing & directing are pretty darn fantastic.

I can't really answer this with a single number. I'm about an 8 for the original trilogy, a 5 for the second trilogy, and maybe a 2 for everything else. Honestly, I'm pretty over it all by now. Just waaaay too much.

Not a fan of Star Wars at all. Only a fan of Chewie. My Yorkie was named Chewie because she looked just like him. :chewy:

I gave myself a three. I liked the first three movies fine, but wasn’t obsessed with them. Haven't seen anything more recent than those, and I am fine with that. I go to Galaxy’s Edge when I am at DHS, but don’t go to DHS specifically to visit that part of the park. I am a big fan of certain things, but Star Wars, or Sci-Fi in general aren’t my thing.
