With Thanksgiving being 3 weeks away I ask…..

Do you decorate for Thanksgiving?

For Me…..Yes, I lightly decorate for Thanksgiving.
I host every holiday, so I like to decorate the house for my family - it‘s important to me to have the house look nice for them (and me too).
I don’t have much - some turkey items, placemats and my favorite is the kid art my girls made when they were little (they hang on my kitchen cabinets). A lot of my Halloween/Autumn decorations are good for both holidays - I just need to put away the spiders, ghosts and other actual Halloween items - everything else stays out 🙂👍🏻

I have a LOT and they are going up no later than this weekend while I watch the Breeders Cup 🐎🐴🐎🐴
I have stuff for inside and outside - I’ve got this cute little wagon I fill with tiny pumpkins & Gourds & things to look like a harvest - you know so Mommie Dearest Deer can have something to chow down on 🤣🤣🤣 I sprinkle heavily with pepper to try and deter them pesky deer !
Shockingly I have a ton of Disney Thanksgiving items - I don’t know why 🤷‍♀️🤷‍♀️🤣🤣🤣
I’m looking forward to putting my fall items out
Something I saw in one of those women’s magazines years ago that I love the look of - use a small fall blanket ( like a throw ) as a tablecloth - looks adorable - Kohls abd Walmart often have cute ones really cheap !! It gives your table a whole new cozy home look 👍
I have pumpkin plates - soup bowls _ serving platters - all kinds of items - couple lanterns on table - cute fall charger plates (Hobby Lobby or Michaels ) it’s adorable !!
I have a friend and we see who can out decorate the other ( all in fun )

I love all holidays and do have some Thanksgiving decorations - cute lil woodland creatures, some turkeys, etc but my crown jewel is a fall tree! It's orange with fall inspired ornaments. I didn't get it put up this year (usually do in October) because we are doing some construction on the house. We are just hoping we can get decorated for Christmas at this rate! :scared:

Nope, poor Thanksgiving is the lost holiday in my world that gets overshadowed by Halloween and Christmas. Putting on four holidays (Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Years) in the last two months of the year is too much for me so something has to get cut. My December birthday also falls victim to this. Thanksgiving/fall decor doesn’t really appeal to me anyway so I don’t miss it, and the extent of our “celebration” for the past few years has been picking up a ready-made meal from Whole Foods for the four of us. I wouldn’t be surprised if my kindergartner comes home from school one day soon and says, “ Did you know there’s a holiday called Thanksgiving?”

I have some, not a lot.
Lots of linens which are out......tablecloth, place mats, towels, pot holders
a lot of candle decor....those are all out since they are stored in the house,
I'll be going to storage unit tomorrow to get the rest. I think there is only one box and a couple of bigger things.
And......the (by some) dreaded blowup.....a turkey

I have some decorations. I leave my fall/autumn decorations up and add a few things. I have some turkeys and a few other items. I still have some stuff the kids made when they were little that I put out.

Yes and no. I have Thanksgiving/harvest decor but I don’t celebrate American Thanksgiving. Thanksgiving here is on the second Monday in October, so it’s now past and my exterior stuff is frozen stiff and sitting under 4” of snow. The inside stuff is cheerful and nice and all of it will likely stay in place until I decorate for Christmas in mid-December.

Uncharacteristically for me, I feel like putting up my Christmas tree RIGHT NOW. Not sure what's going on. Maybe I'm just in the mood after the last 2 years.

Same things that have been out for a month - fall colored wreath, doormat with leaves. I don't have family coming to decorate for, not that I would! I do have a fall leaves tablecloth also.

I've got a couple of basic things. Two autumnal non-Halloween wreaths for the front and kitchen doors. Old-timey turkey and pilgrim candles. So cute!!!! And then a woven cornucopia with wax fruit. That's it.

The stuff Marie puts up is primarily fall oriented rather than just Halloween or Thanksgiving. A few Halloween specific things will come down, a few Thanksgiving specific things will go up.

That's me as well:
🍁 Fall stuff goes up in early-mid September.
🎃 Halloween gets added to the fall stuff mid-October.
🦃 Halloween came down yesterday, and Thanksgiving will take it's place today or tomorrow.
🎄 Then after Thanksgiving, it will all come down (as well as some everyday stuff) and Christmas will go up!
