If I'm not mistaken golf is usually an outdoor activity? That's a no for me dawg. If there were such a thing as an indoor golf course, only my total lack of eye-hand coordination would keep me from playing.

I’ve never played (real) golf, and it doesn’t interest me, at least for now. If I did ever take it up, I’d prefer to walk for exercise, but I know that many courses require the use of carts.

I’ve played mini golf, and have also played at a nearby pitch and putt course a few times, that I’ve enjoyed. Pitch and putt is probably best suited for me; a scaled down course with shorter holes, that’s easier and faster to play than a regular 18-hole course.

I love golf. I've played for a long time, had to give it up about 5 years ago due to a back injury but picked it up again this summer. Actually took a part time position at a course close to home (retired from my full time job) so now I can play for free a couple of days a week.

I like it well enough, and went with my dad a couple of times when I was younger, but I haven't been (except for mini) in years. I'm probably better than someone who's never played, but far from actually good.

While there aren't indoor golf courses, per se, there are a number of indoor golf simulator places (many including a bar and restaurant) where you can play a number of courses from around the world. They're a lot of fun and reasonably accurate as far as the golf goes.

Are you a golfer?
If yes…..Do you consider yourself a good golfer?
(multiple choice)

For Me…..I am not a golfer, but I would LOVE to take lessons and learn.
Someday, once life isn’t so busy, I am really going to consider taking lessons.

I'm a decent golfer ...which translates to I don't embarrass myself most days! Golf is a difficult game because you have to be good in every phase(Tee, Fairway, Trouble, Greens), so I think a lot of "golfers" tend to exaggerate their success. I consider anything in the range of 90-100 average, 80-90 very good, 70-80 excellent ....I'm consistently in the 90-100 range and that's fine for my level of play and the courses I play on and at 59 I'm probably not getting a heck of a lot better at this point ..LOL!

You should take some lessons Slo ...my daughter took an 8-week, 1-night per week lesson with a group of co-workers this summer and loved it. She's hooked and now plays with me occasionally but is going to join a women's league -she had her first PAR this fall! It's so nice to be out in the fresh air ...I walk the course unless I'm in a tournament or something so the exercise is good. Have fun!

I’ve only ever mini golfed and no real desire to golf. I will say that my great aunt and her husband were avid golfers (took vacations centered around golfing) and seemed to really enjoy it. I think my uncle played throughout his life and my aunt only took it up in retirement as something to do as a couple. They were in couples leagues and a good bit of their social lives revolved around it. They were also very healthy—he lived well into his 80’s and she was 97 when she passed—all that walking may have done them some good! Anyways if that was something DH would want to do in retirement I’d be game to try it. I would like the fresh air, exercise and a lot of courses have beautiful scenery.

Not all all. Balance isn’t good for mini golf any more either.

Probably been 45 years since my first and last attempt to golf. Played 18 holes. Lost six golf balls, including two that went onto the freeway that passes next to the golf course. Decided golf was a sport I couldn't afford.
Miniature golf is a different story, but it has probably been 20 years since I did that either.

Never golfed and no real interest. Only have done mini a few times when I was younger.

Not a golfer, no desire to ever be one. DH enjoys it, but hasn’t golfed in years. He is seriously considering retiring from his crop insurance job and if he does that I’m sure he will pick it back up since he will have more free time.
