Ah, the Bears. I’ve heard about that. Is it close to being a reality?

I actually like the spaceship remodel of Soldier Field.
Maybe close to reality for the Bears actually acquiring the property. But many years off until maybe playing there. I've read that they would have a BIG penalty to pay to the Chicago Park District (Soldier Field owner) if leaving before 2028. A lesser penalty after 2028 and before 2033. So, my thought is not before 2028.

Arlington Park is next suburb over from us. :scared1:

The 'new' Soldier Field looks pretty much like any other open-air stadium inside, but to most here, looks like an abomination from the outside.

The answer to how much coffee I drink is "yes." :D

In a normal workday I drink 3 mugs of coffee, which probably holds 12 oz. So 36 oz? 4 1/2 cups?

The Soldier Field “space ship” ruined the beautiful architecture of the stadium. If I recall (not sure) but I believe the abomination caused the removal if the stadium from the register of historic places.

most of the time, one decaf cappuccino in the am sometimes a double (nespresso)

I remember Dunkin Donuts looking like that too. With a counter where you could sit and drink coffee from ceramic mugs while munching your donuts. Maybe even a few booths too with waitress service.
Tim Horton's all still have a dine-in area (but no table service) and you can request a "to stay" mug if you like. Does Dunkin not? Last one I was in was in SoCal somewhere a few years ago and I could swear there were tables there. Did they take them all out post-Covid?

P.S. I was only there for the coffee. I do a big doughnut binge at Randy's every time we land at LAX. :cloud9:

I’m really not sure. I rarely go to Dunkin and I haven’t seen any with dine-in areas for many many years. The ones I’ve been to are strictly take out, or in suburban areas, drive thru too.

My company’s stores got their donuts from Dunkin for a few years in the early 90s but terminated the relationship because of too many issues. Some local Dunkin franchisees were shipping in some stale donuts and/or “seconds,” unsaleable product.

We also had some stores with Taco Bell and Pizza Hut but the arrangement likewise proved unsatisfactory after a while.

Some years back you asked if you could see Randy’s from the air just before landing at LAX. Were you able to experience it?

2 cups in the morning, which fit in my Contigo autoseal, spill-less travel mug. I put it the coffee in whether I'm traveling or not. It's the adult version of a sippy cup. :lmao: No more worrying about spilling coffee all over my keyboard in the morning before I've had enough caffeine to have a steady hand. :surfweb:

I need my morning dose of coffee so much that I took a bus trip out to NJ just to get 8 canisters of Folgers on sale for $2 each at the supermarket there. Otherwise, I'd be paying the jacked up NYC prices of $5 each. After the round trip bus fare, it was the equivalent of getting 3 canisters free.

Although, I also went to the Dollar Tree across the street and ended up spending the savings. :lmao:

Recently, I finally broke down and got a coffee maker that does pods and regular ground, drip coffee. I bought a gift assortment of decaf flavored coffee pods (for myself.) So, sometimes I treat myself to a third cup of decaf coffee in the evening. 🥰

@The Mayor I recognize that paper! My family home was in Peabody for 28 years, and I lived in an apartment Salem for 2 years. It's been a long time since I lived in the area, but it's where I consider "home" and would move back if I could afford it!
