Ok coffee drinkers.....
If you are out of town and Starbucks, Dunkin Donuts, McDonalds or the gas station are your only 4 choices to get your morning coffee, where are you going and why?
(multiple choice)

For me......
It will be a toss up between McDonalds or Dunkin Donuts - it would depend on what’s closer to me and how long the line is. I don’t have anything against gas station coffee and have bought it from my local gas station, but if I’m out of town, I want to get coffee from somewhere I will definitely know I will like.

Starbucks -- I get gift cards for birthday or Christmas and save them for that purpose (out of town travel).

At home I usually just make coffee and rarely buy it out but when I do, it's Tim Horton's.

Depends on what is closer but only between McDonalds and Dunkin. We make coffee at home, so rarely buy it when around towns. If we were to buy it around town, it would be Wawa (similar to a 7-11 but better).

We have friends in MA aNe there is a Dunkin on every corner (seems like it at least) and they prefer McDonalds coffee, although they buy a box of Jo every day.

Never Starbucks. Tastes like ashtray water to me. And the lines are stupid. And then there's all the millenial/gen z bashing I can do when I talk about hazelnut mocha frappa chino latte skinny half caf........

At home, DH makes us espresso every morning. Bustelo. And otherwise, we drink darker coffees. French roast and such. DH has it black. I usually use a dollop of sweetened condensed milk or milk and sugar. Nothing fancy. I scour the Asian markets for cheap tins of orange gold. Cafe du Monde is my go-to drip coffee.

DH and I road trip a lot. If we have a choice, it seems to me that truck stops tend to have to least bad coffee. At worst, maybe it's like "wet cardboard". And there's never a long line. Flying J, Pilot, etc. Our local convenience stores, Wawa or 7-11 are solid too.

Actually, WDW food court and QS coffee tends to be a lot like "wet cardboard." They make it way too weak. Trying to cut corners and save the Joffrey's.....

We call McDonald's coffee "boiled acorns", so it's not exactly our favorite, but it's hot and wet and goes down okay with an egg mcmuffin.

Dunkin isn't terrible. And we love donuts......

I actively dislike Starbucks coffee and I never drink those froofy sweet blended monstrosities they make. McDonald’s is my choice and we brew their ground coffee here at home too. When we’re in the States we go to Dunkin, which I also think has really great coffee.

I actually stopped drinking coffee (and any caffeinated beverages) about a year and a half ago, but when I used to drink it, I wasn't overly picky. My go to was usually gas station (Shell or Circle K) coffee, mostly because it was quick and easy. The Dunkin Donuts and Starbucks by us always have long lines and I don't go to McDonald's too often.

I only drink coffee from Caribou Coffee, it is a chain out of Minneapolis that also exists in WI, IL, IA and CO as far as I know. I will just go without if it's not from there.

I'm not a coffee drinker. I do like a doctored-up-to-the-point-that-it's-no-longer-coffee drink now and then, so I would probably pick Starbucks for that... but a plain cup of coffee is a "no thanks" across the board.

The way a lot of people feel about the taste of Starbucks, I feel that way about the taste of Dunkin Donuts coffee. There's something a little "off" that I just don't care for.

For me, McDonalds coffee is the line of demarcation: anything worse than McDonalds coffee is bad, anything better is good.

Going to lose my Masshole card with this one... but Dunkin has gone downhill and I no longer drink them. My husband always hated them, but i drank regualrly, but then they changed, and went from being one of my go to favs.. to a last resort.

It was when they stopped actually brewing individual coffee.. and instead started adding a flavoring syrup to everything. I miss my real brewed Hazlenut.

When traveling... Starbucks is a safe bet, Peets if I am on the west coast. but I really really like a small independant type place if I can find them first.

Shelburne Falls Coffee roasters are my local go to when getting coffee out and about... at home it is Pierce Brother's Fogbuster!!

Starbucks hands down. They’re the only chain (nationwide) coffee place that can make a decent Iced latte/americano/coffee. Dunkin’ has them on the menu put they get so watered down there no coffee in them.

We like to find a mom & pop coffee place when traveling, if we can't find something close to the hotel we go Starbucks or Dunkin.

After I’ve had my coffee (black, run of the mill coffee) in the AM I’m done. When on vacation we bring our own pot and coffee so same. On the road I don’t drink coffee because then we’d have to stop to pee every ten minutes. DH will get coffee if he’s driving when we stop. You’d be surprised how hard it is to find coffee flavored coffee at a truck stop.

My SIL was a barista at Starbucks and would stop a McD’s to get her coffee on the way to work.

As far as froufrou drinks, I just don’t get it. If I’m going to spend that much money and use that many calories I’m getting a milkshake.

If I want hot coffee, then Starbucks for a peppermint mocha.

Iced coffee is what I drink at home and 99% of the time if out of town. Then I find a Dunkin for an iced mocha.

Second choice for either is a gas station where I can mix in flavored creamers and try new combinations. I like coffee that doesn't taste like coffee.

I drink my coffee black and nearly every single Starbucks I go to, their coffee is burned.

McD's, Dunkin or Gas Station for me.
