We have some in the kitchen, doesn't get used every day but works great when we do use it. Nice to purchase a product that actually does what it claims to do.

wow, no, have not tried it, but sounds great! We're going to give it a try. We use Dawn for regular dishwashing, and always satisfied with it.

I had used some years ago on icky pans and thought it was fine, but not better than either a baking soda/water paste or Barkeeper’s friend. Now that I am reading about all the other uses in this thread I may need to give it another try. Shower doors! I have one from the 1960’s that never looks really clean—that would be my first project.

The other secret is microfiber cloths !!! Makes a huge differences !! I wipe the shower doors dry once a day with them sparkling clean all week !!!

I have never used it, and I don't think I'd buy it. When I have stuck on food in a pan I use my Dad's old Air Force trick of putting a bit of dish soap and water in the pot and boiling it for a minute, or I just use old fashioned elbow grease.

I haven’t tried it yet.
However I am team Dawn lol.

I like using Dawn Professional Heavy duty degreaser for hard jobs.

I really like it. I use it on pans, casserole dishes, outdoor furniture, and laundry. My friend used it on her dog who was sprayed by a skunk. Her vet said it’s an oil and suggested she try it

I’ve moved up to 3 pack at Costco. 😂

I love all things Dawn, especially Powerwash. DW likes some scenty fancy-pants Good Earth stuff where you have to use twice as much to get the same result (if you can at all). So unfortunately we don't have Powerwash right now, but I'm plotting its return.

You might have better luck with vinegar on a water line, if scrubbing with the power wash doesn't work.

:scratchin I’m sceptical of things that seem gimmicky and I’ve stayed away from this in favour of the good, old-fashioned bottle of blue. But honestly, it never did occur to me that it had uses beyond dishes. I’m always in the market for something to solve these two problems.

On another Dawn-related note, I’ve always loved Dawn Platinum, which seems to work noticeably better than the regular. Here it recently started coming only in a new scent called “Fresh Rain”. Very different than the original and I find it physically nauseating. :crazy2: I’ve had to stop using it and I really, really miss it. Has anyone else noticed this?
Put a bit of vinegar in with the Dawn Power spray for the tough water stains.

We have really hard water and it's hard to keep shower doors clean. When our Power Spray bottle has about 1/3 remaining, I add vinegar until the Dawn bottle is half full. I then fill the rest with water. I use this to clean shower doors and anything else with hard water lines.

My youngest DS and wife were just telling us about the change in the Dawn a few weeks ago. They stopped using it right away.

I have always used Dawn dish soap.
My dad actually suggested the Dawn Powerwash to me about 6 months ago.
I thought meh its just a gimmick but I also value my dad's opinion when it comes to cleaning products etc so I tried it.
I now love it. Just a couple sprays and let it sit for only a minute (I'm not one that puts things to "soak") and it does clean much easier with less effort.

I have some backyard loungers I may need to pull back out of the shed and try this on. I had been toying with the idea of putting them to the curb because they were just not looking up to snuff after a scrub down.

I do use Dawn on greasy laundry stains. I am world class champ at splashing or dripping salad dressings on new clothing, so Dawn has saved my wardrobe from many a premature purge. I also use Dawn to make a mix for cleaning my stove top when it's messy. Ironically, I am a Palmolive lover for actually doing dishes. I'm super sensitive to fragrances and have horrible flashbacks to standing in front of a sink of dirty dishes smelling of fake lemon dish soap and getting migraines while doing the dishes growing up with my mother's choice of dish soap. Palmolive never bothers me so it's the only thing I'll use.

I've used the Powerwash for a couple years now. I think it is great. I'm a clean as I use dish washer and this works great. I've used for a few other things also, very [;eased. When getting low I get a new refill bottle to have on hand.

I think one of the factors that make it work so well is that it's number 1 ingredient is alcohol, a formidable grease cutter.

And items NOT to use Dawn PW on....

Get a coupon for a big savings and bought Dawn Powerwash for the first time a few months ago. I think it is overpriced dish washing liquid and probably better used as a cleaner for your BBQ. Typical dishes/pots/pans don't need anything that strong or pricey. Certainly don't recommend it for daily kitchen use.

Yes!!! I bought a giant refill sized bottle without noticing the "new scent" and couldn't use it. I gave it to my daughter when she moved out because the new scent didn't bother her. I did find a lemon scented which is okay.

For really icky things try adding a bit of white vinegar and oxygen cleaner (comes in a plastic jar at $ store) and hot water. DH can't believe what it can clean including the car exterior and interior. I use just a drop of dawn for windows and wash with an antistatic cloth ($ store) and wipe with bounty.

Best thing is, with so little needed it lasts a very long time!

I buy it and absolutely love it. I think it's one of the rare products that lives up to the hype. I use it for all different types of cleaning jobs, but it is especially great for cleaning the stove top of my gas range. It's also really good for getting grease stains out of clothing.

I bought it. But, it's an aerosol and I have sinus/respiratory issues, and the fumes during spraying are just too much for me to use as a spray. :crazy2: Someone suggested putting it in a pump or squirt bottle instead of spraying it and that has made such a difference for me. :thumbsup2 So, basically the refill bottle without the sprayer.

However, I make my own DIY Dawn Powerspray now, as I'm cheap. It's basically blue Dawn with a few- several tablespoons, (depending on size of bottle,) of isopropyl (rubbing) alcohol in it. I still put it in a pump bottle and use it on everything. The alcohol disinfects germs and seems to break down dirt, grime and gunk better than without it.

The only time recently that I used the real Dawn Powerwash was after I was walking in a drizzling rain and the red dye came off the fuzzy, degradeable fabric Target shopping bag and it bled and stained my best black jacket and black pants for work. Had it been some crappy clothes I would have left the bright red splotches. But, these clothes were rather expensive, so I spent 3 hours of my life that I'll never get back, trying to scrub the dye stains out. I used hairspray, then straight isopropyl alcohol, then a Tide stain stick, followed by laundry detergent soaked on for a while. Each time trying to scrub with an old toothbrush. None of them budged the dye stains. What finally worked was the Dawn Powerwash soaked in for a while. There is not a hint of any dye residue and it didn't hurt my clothes. :worship:

I use it. I like to spray it in my none stick pans and give them a rinse since I don’t put those in the dish washer. I also spray my stainless steel sink with it and let it sit a few minutes then spray it out. I agree it helps blend the glass stovetop.

I have read that it’s not good on granite, so I can’t use it on my counters.

I haven’t tried it for clothes or shower doors. I’ll have to give it a try.
