I am old -fashioned and prefer physical books. I mainly read Love Inspired Romances, the regular series line. These are smaller paperbacks. For bulkier books or hardcover, I absolutely appreciate using my Kindle. To me there is no substitute for having a physical Holy Bible and also devotional.

I checked off “Other” because I use mainly Audible for books. My eyesight isn’t what it used to be, and I really enjoy listening to a great narrator. Actually, I’ve found new books to read by seeing what other books my favorite narrators have done. 🎤📚📖

Not a big fan of reading, but seems the electronic type of books make more sense. How many times are you going to read the same book or do the paperbacks just sit on a shelf taking up space after you finished reading them? I would assume electronic books are cheaper since there is no cost to print/distribute to stores.

For me, a kindle is just so much more convenient to carry. I remember going on a holiday carrying 3-4 books which add up weight-wise. Now I have a kindle with so far 1000 books on it that I can download many many more onto and yet it weighs the same as my phone. Plus I can increase the font size at whim ie when I’m at the hairdressers and can’t wear my glasses. Then add in no more having to move physical books around in my home, it’s a win win.

This 💯. I hated having to pick books for travel and carry all of them. I have my entire library at my fingertips and can choose new books on the fly. I also like the recommendations at the end of the Kindle books too.

And I can adjust the font because I'm getting old.

I love to read. I have been reading a lot lately. I had gotten away from reading so much until about a year ago but now I go through books so fast. I used to do the actual book thing and I slightly prefer it but the e-reader is so much more convenient.

I had an actual e-reader (Kindle) but it keeled over a couple years ago so I just started using the App on my phone

I have recently made the switch to an e-reader due to my eyesight deteriorating. Our bookshelves are overflowing, so I started checking all my books out from the library. Many of the books I want are not available in large print, or there is a long wait. My Kindle allows me to adjust the font. I feel there is nothing better than an actual book in my hand, but the Kindle is easy on the eyes.

e-reader for me, much easier to store loads of books and buy new ones from your sofa😄

This is one of my biggest peeves in life. People who say they don't have time to read.

I work full time and have kids and do elder care. What you choose to do in your downtime is what you choose.
People who say they don't have time to read seem to be insinuating they are so much busier then other people.
Just say I choose to do other hobbies instead of reading.

Sorry I just find myself very prickly about the "I don't have time to read" line. If you don't want to read, don't read.
This is perhaps one of the rudest replies I have ever read on this forum.
