Happy Labor Day DIS Friends!

What are your Labor Day plans for today?
(multiple choice)

*For our friends living somewhere that this isn’t Labor Day - just answer what you’re doing today.
*Whatever you’re doing today - I hope you have a great day :goodvibes

For Me……After I come home from the gym, I will be home all day enjoying our pool for the last time this 2023. So sad  Summer is my favorite season, but since Fall is my second favorite season I’m looking forward to that.

Staying home. Just got back from a short trip to Virginia. Unfortunately it was just way too much driving. Just catching up on laundry and some house chores. Plus it’s gonna be in the high 90s today.

I am mostly catching up on laundry, but also have an appointment at a dress shop to look for a homecoming dress for youngest DD. Middle DD is home from school this weekend to work. She lifeguards in the summer and her employer made it worth her time and gas money to come home to work this final pool weekend. We will do a quick cookout with her after her shift ends before she heads back to school. She has a 3 hour drive tonight.

I'm going to the pool and ride my bike.

I have a race in two weeks so my idea of a pool and bike ride probably aren't the same as a normal person. At least today is somewhat of a recovery day so it's only a 2,500-meter swim and hour easy bike.

Then I will go to the store hungry and buy food that I really shouldn't.

Nothing festive planned. We're 3 weeks away from moving and we take possession of the new place this coming Friday, so we're excited and there's no shortage of tasks to complete. I also find short weeks at work extremely hectic so I'm also spending a few hours each day this weekend working remotely to stay ahead of the curve.

Good morning! Got home yesterday from a 2-week vacation to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. Longest vacation I think we've ever taken, and much needed.

Today is laundry and grocery shopping. I have a meeting downtown Wednesday through Friday (and then again Monday and Tuesday), so I need to repack and get ready for the next two weeks as well.

Not doing much but the normal household chores. I need to get the house straightened up because I have someone coming out on Wednesday to give me an estimate on work that needs to be done and I don’t want them to think I belong on Hoarders or anything. My sister has to work the entire weekend, otherwise I probably would have gone to visit her for the holiday.

We had a fun weekend. Hosted a birthday party cookout on Saturday, went to a friends pool yesterday. Today is our catch-up day. Went out to breakfast then grocery shopping. Making scones, doing laundry and once the scones are done I’ll head out in the garden for a bit.
