I am not a Templar so Friday the 13th holds no fear for me.

I can be superstitious. But not about black cats. I have my second one now. They are the friendliest most personable cats and have a tougher time being adopted because some people are superstitious. A lot of shelters won't adopt them out around Halloween because people use them for basically a Halloween decoration or abuse them. People can be awful sometimes.

When we adopted "Jelly Bean" from a shelter that had set up an adoption day at a PetSmart about 20 years ago, they told us the same thing. It was her last chance to be offered for adoption before Halloween because black cat adoptions in October sometimes have negative outcomes.

And totally agree about black cats being personable. They have the most interesting personalities.

I have my own superstitions:

Usually I try to get seats in way back of the plane.

At my work no one can say : they are bored or it’s quiet etc ( these just aren’t me though)

I hate when holidays etc come around because some crazy stuff Will happen. Just like full moon etc it will get odd at work

It's officially my anniversary today - last weekend I said the same thing to TVGuy's holiday post because we got married on Columbus Day.

None about Friday the 13th. We had our Rehearsal dinner on a Friday the 13th. A friend asked about doing it on that night. I told her my Grandfather survived a U-Boat attack on a Friday the 13th so in my family it was a great day. Especially since it was before he married my Grandmother & over a decade before my Mom was born.
There are a few from my Mom's side. Breaking a match after a couple of deaths or other bad things happened to family or friends, The other your guests are to go out the same door they came in through.
