I haven’t been to WDW in nearly a quarter century. When we went we took a limo from the airport, went on the monorail, took the buses, and I think the fairy. The skyliner probably wasn’t even thought of at that point.

What is watercraft? Isn’t the fairy a watercraft?

Yes, I've been to WDW and YES I've used every mode of transportation including a renter car and using a "taxi". ( long before Uber and Lyft and Minnie taxis)
I'm not a huge fan of the skyliner simply because I don't like many areas where I could get "stuck" for hours!
My fav choice is WDW buses, then the monorail, then the boats. I actually enjoy sitting back ( LOL lucky if you can sit!) and letting someone else transport me!

All of them at some point, although I don't think I've been on the MK Ferry since I was a kid. It seems like the least efficient transportation mode on property (especially given the alternatives these days).

We rented a car for the first time last trip (first time staying off-site) so that was our first experience with WDW parking lots. Not a fan.

I've used all the transportation, using watercraft for the first time last year (from Port Orleans to Disney Springs), and doing the Skyliner for the first time. We have stayed at the All-Star resorts quite a few times, so we have used buses the most.

Last visit was before the skyliner opened, but have used all other modes of transportation. Only rented a car when we stayed off-site, and on one longer trip with some non-Disney days (Universal, Kennedy Space Center, etc.)

I've used them all other than the Skyliner. It was not complete as of my last trip, 8 years ago. :( I always had a car rental up through my last 3 visits. I used it mostly for a day trip to USF/IoA, trips to AK and DtD and transportation to and from MCO. Staying at the Swan took care of Epcot and MGM, and Disney transportation is the best to MK. The last 3 trips, with Natalie and her 2 boys, limo from and to MCO, all Disney transportation while onsite and no USF/IoA trip.

I do think that their provided transportation is great. And the coordination of everything is amazing.

I've used them all. Loved the boats from the Swan/Dolphin and of course the monorail the best.

Learned over the years to get a rental car.

You left out the mode of transportation we enjoyed the most. The Express Bus Service that operated for just 8 months in 2017. Cost $30 per person extra for a week's access. With the service you only had to go thru security at the first park you entered for the day. They had pickup points in every park and the bus made the loop of all the parks, taking you thru back stage areas to get to other parks without having to go thru security again. The buses were mostly empty, so clearly it either wasn't publicized a lot or popular.
Glad we went to WDW once, but we won't be back. Even with the Express bus the parks are too far apart. We are Disneyland lovers with park hopper tickets we spend all day going back and forth. Very handy for timing your water rides in both parks. We got a Fast pass for Splash Mountain in Disneyland and Grizzly River Run in California Adventure back to back. Staying at the Grand Californian we were able to change into our "wet ride" clothes, walk into CA, cross over to DL, ride Splash Mountain, cross over to CA and ride Grizzly River Run, go back to the Grand Californian, change back into dry clothing, and be back in the parks in 45 minutes.

Skyliner was still under construction during our last Disney trip, so have never used that. I think most people who have complaints about Disney transportation dislike waiting and think it should be their personal valet to instantly get them from one place to the next. I view it as more of an example of mass transportation. We also generally rent a car when at Disney since it makes it more convenient to go to an offsite restaurant or shopping. Online taxis can quickly get costly if you decide to make several trips in addition to the convenience of having your own vehicle.

I view Disney transportation much the same as waiting in line at one of the parks. LOTS of people visit Disney and likely there are MANY others wanting to get to the same place you want to go.

First of all…..I know not everyone has been to WDW, but from what I see, there’s more people here that have than haven’t. If you haven’t been to WDW, please select the option “I’ve never been to WDW” in the poll.

I saw the below picture on Facebook and I thought it was a pretty interesting picture so I saved it. Then I decided to make a poll from it.

WDW has an amazing and efficient transportation system. There’s the monorail that takes us to the different resorts around the Seven Seas Lagoon, the MK, the TTA and to EPCOT. There’s the Ferry that takes us from the TTA to the MK. There’s the watercraft that takes us to & from DS from different resorts, and to & from EPCOT, HS and the MK from different resorts. There’s the Skyliner that takes us to & from EPCOT or HS from different resorts. Then there’s the buses that take us to & from everywhere in the Disney bubble. So much free transportation for everyone to enjoy, even those not staying inside the Disney bubble. When people start commenting to me about how expensive WDW is, they forget about so many things, like this transportation that is taken for granted. Disney could charge everyone who rides each mode of transportation, especially those that aren’t staying on property, but they don’t. This transportation isn’t free for WDW. Someone has to pay those that operate/drive the transportation, maintain each of them, fix them when they stop running, keep the roads smooth (I rarely see potholes there) and etc. Do I wish WDW wasn’t so expensive? Of course, but when I start thinking about everything that costs them money, that I take for granted, I understand why. So with all that…..let’s talk about the WDW transportation that we have used and enjoyed.

Have you been to WDW?
If yes……Which complimentary WDW transportation have you used & enjoyed?
(multiple choice)

For Me……I’ve been going to WDW since 1976, when I was 5 years old, and I’ve been many times since then. I’ve used every mode of transportation except the watercraft. One day we need to ride it, just so we can say we rode on it. Truth be told, we drive to many places. If we stay at a resort that’s not on SSL, then we drive to the TTA. Regardless where we stay, we always drive to HS. On EPCOT day we always drive to HS and take the Skyliner to EPCOT so we can rope drop from the international gateway. We always drive to AK and DS. We are not a lover of taking the buses. It’s nothing against the buses, we’ve had no bad experience with the buses, I just don’t want to wait for them, sit with hot sweaty people (I’m one of those people), have all the stops before mine and etc. I just want to get in my car and go. I also like the freedom of getting in the car and taking a last minute detour to do something other than go where the bus is going. We have not rode a WDW bus since 2002. My DD21 asked me in March, on our last trip, “Have I ever been on a WDW bus?” and I told her No. Yes, it costs money to rent a car, but I don’t care, I factor it into the vacation budget. I would feel to trapped without a car and that would make me feel uncomfortable and anxious.

I've used everything over the years(including rent), but during covid I started to simply use Uber/Lyft when other modes weren't convenient or overcrowded. We get exactly where we want, when we want and the cost difference between that and a car rental(which has gotten ridiculous) is minimal in the grand scheme of things.

Everything except Skyliner. Never will ride the Skyliner. I have a huge fear of it falling in the water, becoming trapped, & drowning.

I have used them all. I drive to WDW and once I park at the resort I do not see my car again until it’s time to go home. When I was a child we stayed off property and parked at the theme parks.

I do not mind the buses but that could be because I usually go to the parks after they open and leave before they close, so I am avoiding the worst of the crowding.

Have used all forms. My oldest ds was 3 the first time he went. His favorite “ride” was the monorail. He absolutely loved it. We ended up buying him the battery operated monorail toy. It was pricey and I didn’t know if he would play with it enough to justify the cost. I didn’t need to worry. He played with it SO much.

I remember those. Did not use them but knew of them. I don't think it was publicized very much at all.
As I recall I did not know about it until we checked in at the Grand Floridian. Purchasing that option was offered at check in.

I use all WDW transport - I don’t want to drive on vacation
When we stayed at Hilton Bonnet Creek I did Uber since their bus service is scheduled hourly and I did not want to wait
