Summer is a popular season for weddings.
My anniversary is tomorrow, many DISers have an anniversary this summer season and many people I know do too. Which leads me to ask……..

For Me……I‘m going to a wedding reception in August. The actual wedding/marriage was this past Spring in the Caribbean. The reception is for my best friend’s oldest DD.

We're not going to any weddings thus simmer. We have been to many, tho, over the past 10-15 years as our kids and nieces and nephews and friends' kids started marrying.

We go to a small church. I was going to get a cake for Sunday, but last week there was cupcakes and they hardly went. Sooooo instead I’m going to have a tray with Hershey kisses and hugs and bags of nuts . My DDIL is making a sign. Happy 45th anniversary, …….45 years of hugs and kisses and we’re still nuts about each other.

After a hiatus of about 5 years, we have people in our circle getting married this year! In a few years, it will start being the kids of the people in my circle (or, my very own kids, eeek...).

We have one wedding, in August.

We have a reception next weekend for one of the cousins on my husband's side who had their wedding in the Caribbean about a month ago. Then, the following weekend we have a wedding for the son of one of our military buddies. I was at the hospital when he was born (actually got kicked out of the room because Brian said I come back with him). I haven't been at the hospital for many births, so I feel that I need to make his wedding.

No summer weddings but two this fall. Our daughter is getting remarried in September, and our oldest granddaughter is getting married in October. DH will be the officiant for it, and I will be a flower granny along with her other two grandmothers
