I never thought I'd say this, but I do use the "digital" calendar for everything now. I have to for work, so may as well have the kid's activities / appointments on there as well so there's one source for everything.

I remember not being able to live without my Franklin Covey though.....

I've been gifted two paper calendars this year, but I only use the Google one that comes on my phone.

I have a paper wall one that MIL gifts us every Xmas. It's in our laundry room and I hardly use it. I mainly use the one on my phone. It is the one that came on the phone. It's easy because I can add appts to it while standing in the DR office making said appt. And when I book things online, like a hotel or dining resie or whatever, it will add automatically most of the time. The wall one, I used to use to write down all the birthdays and anniversaries for extended family even. But now I honestly don't give a hoot since not too many folks give a hoot about mine (which is fine by me). Though social media now pretty much alerts me to all that.

Mostly paper. When I go to the dentist or doctor's office, they give me a printed business card with my next appointment. Transcribing that into something else is a waste of my time. Calendar software products come and go, so you could end up depending on some supposedly 'free' product that suddenly is no longer available. When you get a new phone, things sometimes transfer but other times do not. It is a bit like putting all of your eggs in one basket that you don't own.

I still remember when people at the office were all enthused about those "Franklin Planners" that seemed all the rage. Never used them and didn't see the value of storing things by date, mostly by topic so the time it took to constantly copy things from one section to another was a waste of time. Originally these were sold on the idea of how much more efficient we would become. I honestly think it was mostly about Franklin making $$$ selling us expensive refill pages each year.............LOL. Creating some sort of cross-reference in order to find things never made any sense to me. Bosses tend to change jobs frequently and your newest boss never cared about anything the last boss thought was important. I think the air went out of the Franklin planners at the point the company stopped paying for the new year's pages. I can't recall anyone who still uses them where I work. We do use an online calendar at the office to schedule meetings which is quite handy. But I never put personal appointments in that.

I use both. The "master" calendar is a "At A Glance Weekly Planner" sitting on the kitchen counter. Everything is there. My Doctors appointments. My wife's Doctors appointments. Trips. Reminders to get blood work done. When the AC people will be out to do the Spring or Winter system tune up.
The calendar in my phone only has trips and my Doctors appointments.....since my phone is with me all the time. When I get home any new appointments get put on the Master calendar. My wife only uses the Master calendar.

I use phone calendar most. Now if dgd has a school or music class special thing we keep flyer on fridge and on white board and on phones lol

I use both, but mainly electronic for any scheduled appointments. The paper one has a few specific purposes, like recording certain events/tracking their time, and each month has a list of items that typically are done that month, but there is no specific day or appointment for any of them.

I almost always use the reminder function, usually 1 day and then 2 or 1 hour/s before appointments. If it's really 'critical' like needing to buy something, etc, then maybe 2 days or maybe a week ahead reminder.

It's on my phone and certain things are auto added like flights at least from SWA.

It's a lot easier to keep track of especially on the go things that people ask about/tell about while we're out and about.

I used to use a paper calendar years back when phones weren't smart phones

I use both paper/wall calendar and my phone calendar. It's a 90/10 % with almost everything going on the wall calendar. IT is just too easy and simple to look at the wall calendar for reminders of appts.
I do not attach my phone to my hip. I can go for hours without it being near me. Sometimes I leave it in the car. Sometimes it sits on top of the dryer. Other times I have to call myself to find my phone. It would be a disaster for me to rely on my phone calendar alone.

I am old. I like a paper calendar. It is a wall calendar but it sits on top of the file cabinet next to my desk. I write all of my and DH's appts on it. I have always been a visual person and I like to be able to see months at a time by flipping the page.

(I don't buy a calendar, I have multiple free ones sent to me each year. Last year was from IRC. Current one is an Audubon calendar although I have never donated to them? And never will, until they change their name)

For personal I use my phone, the standard calendar app on Samsung phones.

For work, I use my Outlook calendar which links to both my work laptop and phone. For years, I used to have a yearly day per page diary to go alongside my calendar for making notes from meetings etc, but in 2025 I've finally made the jump to digital and am now using OneNote to keep a track of everything and make notes. Don't know how I survived without it!

I only use digital. I have digital at work...in fact, two which are supposed to overlap and feed each other. My home calendar is just what came on my phone, which gets a bit annoying since DD18 is tethered to my account and I have all of her reminders as well as mine. I really have no desire to know the math center's schedule!

That might solve the issue.
