I know, I know…..homemade waffles are best, but there’s just something about Eggo Waffles that I have always loved. My mom always bought them when I was a kid, I bought them for my girls and I still buy them for myself today. They’ve been on sale a lot lately, so I’ve been stocking up for when my DD22 comes home this summer for a month. She doesn’t buy them for herself, so when she comes home, they are a real treat for her. Before we find out if you buy and eat Eggos, let’s read up about them…..


I didn’t realize Eggos have been around since the 1950s - interesting. Time to Leggo my Eggo and tell us today if you buy and/or eat these waffles……

For Me……As I mentioned above, I do buy them and I do eat them. In fact, I just bought 2 boxes yesterday and I ate 2 yesterday. I only buy homestyle and blueberry flavors. Sometimes I think I should try other flavors and then I never do.

I like regular Eggo's. DH just bought a box the other day so we plan on having them over the weekend when the grandkids are here.

I’m not a huge waffle fan I will on occasion eat homemade waffles I have never ate an Eggo but I have bought tons of them for my kids They love them personally I just don’t care for them they’re not for me You’re more than welcome to my share

We do get Eggos but not for quite awhile. When Natalie and Vince were little and then again when Natalie's two boys were here almost rvry day, we usually had them on hand. Homestyle I think. I like them and if they were around, I'd be having a few now and then.

I used to buy them when the girls were young. It has probably been 10 years since I bought them.

Do they taste the same? I’ve recently bought a few treats from the girls childhood and everyone was disappointed and we assumed they had changed the recipes.

I don't buy them often but I do occasionally. Eggo waffles plus scrambled eggs and fruit makes an easy and quick breakfast-for-supper.

DD17 goes through phases where she really likes them. So, I often find myself buying them. She's most fond of the chocolate chip. I've never been a huge fan but I do sometimes enjoy that heavily manufactured flavor present in the blueberry variety and sometimes plain is fun for a bread alternative with sandwiches.

I haven't had Eggo waffles in a very long time. I liked blueberry the best, though, when I did eat them.

My DH has a dairy allergy so when we do have waffles as a breakfast for dinner every once in a while he makes them from scratch. We have a Mickey waffle iron.

Exactly this! I only ever buy the regular kind and toast them extra-crispy. Great with butter and syrup.

Nope - I actually prefer what is now known as Pearl Milling Company (Aunt Jemima).

Nope - I actually prefer what is now known as Pearl Milling Company (Aunt Jemima).

I also prefer the 'pancake syrup' stuff. Real maple is generally too bitter for my sweet trained tastes. And that one you like is a good one for me also.

These aren't really a thing in the UK, and I've never had them on my trips to the States. Not a big fan of waffles either, unless they're the proper Belgian kind.

YES, sometimes. I will only buy multigrain or whole wheat varieties. I'm not committed to any one brand.

My son likes them but prefers the store brand over the eggo brand. We were having this weird issue where one side would be soggy and the other crunchy even though the heating element was working fine.
