Has anyone gotten the slipper desset at the Grand Floridian lately? Is it still available there?

Kim

We got the slippers in November. I called ahead and ordered them and they mentioned them when we were being seated. They looked great and we enjoyed them. Also--I used the DDE card and saved 20% on the meal and the slippers. I didnt think they would apply the discount to the slippers.

I had one at Victoria & Albert's in December. They still have them! Just call up and order one. :)

I got one to celebrate a special occasion, but the other positive side of them is that I got to tell my kids I ate a shoe. <hee hee>

I asked about the slipper awhile back and the poster told me she ordered hers 30 days in advance. I want to bring my sister back one in August:) Wonder how it will travel:) They look beautiful....just like a royal treatment:)
Enjoy

what is this slipper that sounds so nice? can anyone send me in the direction of a pic?

They only need 48 hours notice for the slipper dessert.

This is how it is at GF:

This is how it is at CRT:

Ooh it's so pretty in both pictures! :cloud9: I'm allergic to strawberries, so I think I like the CRT one best.
What's it filled with-is that chocolate whipped cream or chocolate pudding?
& what's it sitting on top of in the CRT picture?

They also look like two different slipper molds, don't they? The design on the front of the GF one looks different in the picture.

I would love one of these!! But we are not staying at GF and no ADR's for CRT. I wish room service at AKL had them! Can you get them anywhere else? Any other restaurants offer them?

What is the cost of the glass slipper? It can be ordered for 1900 Park Fare?

I have never ordered the Slipper, but I guess I'll have to order 2 on our next trip for DGDs!

It is only offered at the GF restaurants/room service and at CRT.

The cake the slipper is on at CRT is angel food cake.

The filling is moose.

Some have reported (only recently though) of getting a dark chocolate version of the slipper at CRT, unexpectedly.

The last time I checked the slipper was $14 at GF and $12.50 at CRT but this could have changed.

Does anyone know the cost of the dessert?
