Where can I get that yummy slipper dessert? I wanted to go to afternoon tea but it's not on DDP so that's out.

It's only available at the GF restaurants and at the Castle; pre-ordered at least 48 hours before.

It's $14 at the GF and $12.50 at CRT.

Could you describe what the dessert is comprised of ? Am guessing it looks like the slipper......but what does it taste like ? Thanks :)

The slipper is white chocolate and at CRT it's filled with chocolate moose and at GF it's filled with white chocolate moose and rasberries.

Anyone have photos? I'd love to surprise someone with one (a slipper, not the photo, lol).

Thanks for description and photos !! :thumbsup2

CRT looks so much better to me, but it makes more sense to add to our GF meal. :confused3 :confused3 What to do ???

Tough call. The GF one has more moose and chocolate. The CRT one has more fruit and angel food cake.

Good luck!

I'm thinking with all we will be eating on DDP, the angel food/berries is the wiser choice, but then I still want my blueberry dessert thing (unless it has changed, maybe that will help me decide). Oh we would share the slipper but still so much.

If 1900 is moved to GFC and a small plate of mini desserts, I guess we would be okay, but just would hate if it's more chocolate. I like it, but only so much.

Thanks again !

Here's a close-up of the slipper dessert we pre-ordered from the GF Bakery last fall when we were having afternoon tea in the Gardenview Lounge.

It's very good - I especially liked the vanilla creme mousse inside the slipper. It's definitely enough dessert for two people to share. :thumbsup2

We are having lunch at CRT. So, this dessert is not on the regular menu? It has to be preordered and you can't pay for it with the DDP? Is this correct? thanks so much in advance!

No, it is not on the regular menu.

Yes, you must pre-order it.

No, it is not covered under the dining plan. It is $12.50 at CRT.

Thanks for the quick reply! What a bummer--that looks delicious! hmmm...maybe I'll think up a reason to spend that extra money! :wizard:

I've seen pics of this dessert and was wondering what exactly it was made of. Now I know - great thread. Thank you - DD4 will love it on her bday!

Looks yummy - I'm going to order one for DD's b-day. Now what do others do when theres more then one child at the table and one gets a special dessert? Maybe I should order a cake instead so everyone could have some? We have DD2, DD4 & DS8 and it will be DD4's bday.

Maybe a stupid question, but how does one pre-order it? Do you call? What number -- the regular WDW-DINE one?

Also, can you get it at Victoria and Albert's? I think that's in the GF. I haven't ever eaten there, but DH wants to go when we visit in December because we've never been (usually we go in the summer and don't bring anything other than casual clothes, which wouldn't be appropriate for V&A) and this time we're going on a Disney Cruise, too, and will have more suitable attire. Thanks in advance!

There is a bday cake thread (2nd sticky) on this restaurant forum. On the first page it lists phone numbers. I'll try & post it on here for you.
