All Slim-Fast ready-to-drink products served in cans, regardless of flavor, best-by dates, lot code or UPC number that are currently in retail distribution centers, on store shelves, in warehouses or in consumer homes are being recalled.

Unilever urges consumers who have purchased the possibly hazardous products to discard them immediately and contact the company at 1-800-896-9479 for a full refund.

You call and they ask for name, address and phone number and how many cans you have.
 
personally I think they should give us all a months supply, I said to my husband back in the summer that something was wrong with them. Even looked up ingredients because I thought something in it may have spoiled on the way home from the store.

I believe they have had this problem for a while.
 
:scared1::eek:I hate this - DH drinks it every day, and I drink it 3-4x per month - we have quite a bit in our refrigerator at any given time! I hope the problem isn't like the one with Leggo waffles.

WOW! Three weeks ago I drank a slim fast (canned) within 45 minutes of drinking it I was HORRIBLY sick. It started out I was completly dizzy, and could barely even drive home. Thank goodness I was only 5 miles from my house when it hit me. I got home and litterally could not get off the floor. Then the throwing up...sorry I know gross... But within 6 hours...all I had was a severe headache. The next day I was fine. I KNEW it was the Slim Fast! But the other cans didnt make me sick. So I was pretty confused about that! This confirms it though!
I have NEVER in my life experienced anything like this...it was AWEFUL...but thankfully quick! My dh had to come home from work cause I couldnt pick up my daughter from PREK or even take care of my one year old who was home.
wow.. Thankfully that was the last can, and I havent bought any since!
 
Wow Jenn that is horrible! I have had slight problems from slimfast the last few months but nothing as serious as you.

I did not believe them for a minute though that there was nothing to worry about and it would not cause any serious health risk....yeah ok.

I am glad you got home ok and your bout was not more serious. I would call the CS number even if you have none left and tell them about your experience they have an option to talk with a CS Representative.
