Slightly OT: MouseSurplus?

Wow! The wax Walt is up to $4,700 I love to know where he's going.

Maybe someone in your town!? Remember, Its a small world after allllllll. :rotfl:

From some of the stuff they have, a real Disneyholic could go nuts decorating: a Contemporary guest bedroom, a Wilderness Lodge kids room, a Polynesian master bedroom...! :dance3:

......Hum, and let see we will need CBR Lounge in the living room. Oh, and I could go for a Port Royale Dinner table? NO maybe a Liberty Tree Tavern dining set. I will need some items to decorate the yard... hum. And I would like a fun bathroom set....

Well I made my visit on our trip. I saw some stuff that I wish I could afford. And I saw some stuff I wish I had room for in the house. I did get to see the wax walt. .... that was kinda 'creepy' cuz he dang near "greets" you when you walk in the door. The lady at the desk was very nice and helpful. She asked a question to a guy in the office and he seemed a bit grumpy. Hope the other 6 drawfs find him. Outside of that I purchased 2 'jim hill media' DVDs and one ice bucket used in the resort rooms. Haha, I know that seems like a silly buy but it brings me happiness. :goodvibes

You guys know that John Stamos is an avid park used item collector right? He has all sorts of old ride vehicles and other neat stuff in his collection. I heard him talking about it on a show that I saw not too long ago. I wish that I had the money to indulge my wants. MouseSurplus is one of several companies selling Disney park pieces on eBay. I would love to visit their warehouse. Maggie

Could you just imagine that conversation....

Hey Ryan....ahhh what's that in your backyard?
Oh, that, just my monorail....wanna check it out? :rotfl2:

My dh told me about this. We're definately going to go there when we go. I love that kind of stuff! They have something in every price range. :thumbsup2

Is Mousesurplus easy to find? I don't know my way around too well, but would love to check it out on our next visit to the World. All I know is it's near the airport.

Nancy :surfweb:

Would someone mind telling me the other legit ebayers out there selling park merchandise??

While I am quite sure there are plenty of others, I dream shop eBay looking through the offerings of MouseSurplus as well as Craig7878, junk-is-just-a-state-of-mind, and sellandship. Happy treasure hunting! Maggie

We went there for the first time last year and now we're hooked. In fact, Mousesurplus is one of the reasons dh wanted to go to WDW instead of DL this year. While it's fun to dream and look at the bigger items, there are lots of items that are not only affordable, but cheap. We got a bunch of $5 t-shirts, mostly for past events and CM promotions. They also had tons of cd's, a few pins, and then the cool resort stuff--ice buckets, shower curtains, bedspreads, and on and on. And their inventory changes all the time. It's not like a retail store--it's a big warehouse, and you can just dig through stuff to your heart's content. Way fun for a dis-aholic. It was pretty easy to get to. Just look up their address on their web site and google directions to it from your hotel. On our next trip, we're using ME, but will still end up renting a car for one day, just so we can go to Mousesurplus!

My dh and I were just discussing recently about purchasing the monorail from Mouse Surplus. I mentioned that it would make a really cool playhouse for the kids in the yard. :thumbsup2 He seemed to contemplate it for a while but never really said no :rolleyes1 so maybe, just maybe he'll get it for me for my birthday! :yay: What do you think? I mean- no home is complete without it's own monrail!!! :teeth:

Haha, that is exactly what we did too. We rented the car for one day so we could hit MouseSurplus and hit the Disney outlet stores. It was so worth it, plus its a enjoyable break from the parks during a hot day. We just spend the time strolling the outlet malls enjoying the AC.

The only thing that I saw at mousesurplus that I couldn't afford was the old "Calypso" sign that used to be at the CBR bus stop. Its huge and wooden, and I just dont know where I would put it.

If you go to the mousesurplus webpage they have directions on how to find them. We used them and succesfully made it there. At one point we thought we had missed it, but we kept on trucking. It is in an 'avenue of large warehouse buildings'. I saw the large 'mousesuprlus trucks' sitting outside and thats how we found it. Make sure you ask/get directed into the warehouse itself. That is where most of the cool stuff is. Haha, mousesurplus is going to become very busy if us Disboarders keep it up!

Dh was horrified to learn that I forgot to tell you what we bought while we were there. We were married at the Polynesian in 2005, then went back there for our 10th anniversary. Those who have stayed there will remember the green mirror in the room. We had our picture taken in that mirror, both 11 years ago and last year, so we bought one of those mirrors! They had a whole bunch of Poly stuff from the renovations. That's the hotel stuff you're most likely to find--furniture and bedding from resorts that have recently been or are being remodeled.

And I'm not sure whether this qualifies as good news or bad news, but they ship, too. So if you buy more than you can carry, they'll have it shipped back to your house for you. I can see now where our free dining savings is going to go.

FigmentGuy: I'm thinking our mousesurplus day should also include a stop at the Disney outlets. You never can have too much Disney in your life, can you?

No! Never enough! More Disney! hahaha.. We are about to buy a house soon. I want to have a Disney room. I dont think that its going to fly. BUT I am talking him into a Caribbean theme bedroom. Caribbean colors painted wall, a nice large palm tree/beach/ocean mural. Etc. It'll be as close as a I can get to the CBR. Hahaha,Who needs the "caribbean" when you got disney. :lmao:

My Mouse Surplus find is a huge ballot box that the CM's used for, of course, some sort of voting. It has the Walt Disney Logo with the castle, the Epcot sphere and the mickey ears water tower on it.
I LOVE IT! Want to know what I use it for? SPARE CHANGE! Yep, for the next trip!
It was $29.99 I think and with S/H it was about $50.

I need to check that place out.

This could rank as a theme park and attraction unto itself, I think. ;) Anybody visit there? I'm thinking of paying a visit next month...the ebay auctions are fascinating.

Wow! Thanks for posting that link. I've spent bunches of time looking at MouseSurplus stuff on eBay. My DH was never terribly concerned because I'd usually come to my senses d/t the shipping charges ( on the really big stuff ) but now I have the address and the directions. :cool1: I also have a van with fold down seats and I'm not afraid to use it. :rotfl2: Guess I'll just forget about flying down as that could seriously impair my disney acquisition abilities. DH should be afraid, very afraid. :scared:
