Slightly confused on how to PM somebody in new system.

I guess I've been posting my phone number in what I thought was a PM. Old school for Private Message. Now they changed the buzzword and I don't know how and where to post my phone number and email address to those whom have asked. I'm trying to avoid spam and I have asked God and the government to stop the robo-calls I get, but neither have had much luck.
Please type slowly so I can understand(Just Kidding - but please don't miss any steps because I only know how to do it wrong so far) I think I have my phone number removed, maybe not. I really need to know how to keep it private

New buzzword = "Conversations" (same as PMs).

• The easiest way is to click on the person's avatar.
• A pop-up box will appear (on a phone it may just open a new tab?) with some summary info.
• Click on "Start a Conversation" in about the center of the box.
• You'll be taken to your Inbox with a new Conversation message started and already addressed to the recipient (much like an email).

• Another way -- click on the word "Inbox" next to your user name near the top right of the page
• That will take you to the Inbox where you can click on "Start a New Conversation" on the right hand side
• Same screen as above, but you will have to type the recipient's name

As a note about Conversations -- you can only have a conversation if 1) you have at least 10 posts and 2) the recipient(s) has at least 10 posts. A maximum of 10 users may be included in the same conversation.

That would be why I was struggling with reaching people then also. Most were under 10 posts(I have like 300ish) I forgot about the 10 rule since I've been over that for the last 6 years.

PS Do you have any pull getting the pinned posts updated? They were so helpful back in 2010 for me, but so much has changed. They still have the Florida lady (who's husband died) as a person to make gift baskets listed. At least that's what I noticed a month ago. Pretty sure alcohol is old info also.
