Slide outs

We have a 5th wheel with a slide out -- has anyone had any problems with room for the awning and slideout at FW?

Thanks <IMG SRC="/infopop/emoticons/icon_confused.gif" alt="confused">
I have a popup camper. It doesn't have a slide out, but it has a awning. And the last campsite we were in, my awning went off of the cement slab and barely fit on the lot. I wasn't thrilled about that at all.
So, this next time ( I'm going in June), when I called and made my ressies, I told them that I had a large popup with a awning and to make sure that I had room for it.
Plus, when the time gets closer, I'm going to call FW directly to double check with them about it. To make sure the lot I get this time will fit.

when you make your reservations make sure you tell them you have a slide out and an awning, some of the sites are narrow and it could be a challenge to utilize both a slide and awning.

As mentioned earlier, it might be a good idea to call Fort Wilderness directly about a week before your arrival to let then know as well.

On one of our trips we drove through all of the loops and wrote a list of sites we likes and we request one of these site for our trips.

Upon check in we take the site they give us, then we look around for a better site if we dont like the one they assigned us. then we call up front and they switch it in the computer for us, this is better than looking at a loop diagram.
