Hi all

Sailing on Saturday on the Fantasy and my wife and I are looking forward to trying the slide.

We were wondering though if anyone knew if the slide was open on port days? On a previous ship on another line, it was only open when the ship was at sea.

Thanks in advance!

Genearlly, yes, but often with different hours. Sometimes not opening until the afternoon when people are coming back to the ship. We've defintiely done the Aquaduck on port days, though!

Historically it has been. It was our favorite time we could just do it over and over again. One year my child did the Mickey slide for what seemed like 45 minutes.

From June 2024, Western Caribbean

I think you are looking for AquaDuck, not little kids’ Mickey’s Slide?.

These come from Personal Navigators. They are a one-sheet, front and back info sheet of activities and open hours for the ship venues. You will get a copy each night in your room. If not, they can be picked up at Guest Services. Usually in a plastic stand in the counter. The same info is on the Disney app for use once boarded. Not in the same format.

The source of these is Disney Cruise Line Blog website. You can find these Personal Navigators, dining room menus and other info there.

If you go to the webpage and select Personal Navigators, it takes you to this page. Just pick the ship and it will show an assortment of cruises from which guests have submitted these.

You can see what type of movies are shown, what is offered as Drink of the Day. Recommended attire for dinner (mainly cruise casual these days.)

We are also sailing on Saturday! Yes, the aqua duck will be open on port days - if the weather permits. That is the only time I will ride it - the line is much shorter on port days!

Yes, exactly why we were wondering! On our last cruise, non-Disney, the line for the slide on at sea days was an hour long but then it was closed on port days. We're looking forward to trying it, looks amazing!

We flew the red eye from YYJ through Seattle arriving here yesterday. Can’t wait to get on board the Fantasy! We’re staying at POFQ, and will be leaving from here. Hope you have an amazing cruise!

Yes! One of my favorite things is to ride the Aqua Duck on port days. Lines are usually shorter, plus it's fun to see the port from a bird's eye view, so to speak.

This was our experience with the rock-climbing wall on RC. It wasn't just closed on port days though. It was closed every day of the 5-night cruise except for the last day and the line was over an hour long. Dh patiently waited so our boys could do it but that really turned me off and made me wish we had sailed DCL. Not that DCL even offers a rock-climbing wall but if they're going to have it, let it be open or don't bother having it.
