I have a couple of questions about the Sleigh Ride:

*When is it offered? Just Christmas Week? Thanksgiving thru Christmas?
*How much does it cost?
*What time of day is it offered?
*Which Disney number do you call to reserve it?
*Is it at Wilderness Lodge or Fort Wilderness Campground?

From what we were told, it goes to the back woods. But, it gets dark about 5:30 and this will be the 1st time we are doing this and we can't wait.

we did the sleigh ride last year. you go about halfway to FW and turn around in the middle of the woods

The ride is 30 minutes long and we loved it. We will try to do again this year. It is well worth the money.

It is $30 for up to four adults but I think they will let two parents take three kids.

We tipped $10 for the holiday season but normally tip $5 for the carriage ride at PO

We'll also be doing the sleigh ride for the first time this year - its a surprise for my DD; can't wait to see her face!!! We don't get snow here in Louisiana - so she'll love the idea of a "sleigh" ride! (even though there's no snow in Florida either!!) What a great idea for the holidays!!!

MaryKatesMom - it is $30 for the sleigh ride, NOT $30 pp!! From what I was told, it will definitely hold a family of four (I think it can hold two adults and up to three children)

You can put 3 adults and 2 kids in. But the kids have to be kids by Disney age requirements. I was bummed to find out that my skinny 13 yo has to be counted as an adult - so now someone in the family doesn't get to go.

Wilderness Lodge Holiday Sleigh Rides

Enjoy a leisurely 30-minute carriage ride through the Walt Disney World backwoods from November 30 - December 30! . All rides depart from the Porte Cochere in front of the Wilderness Lodge and will return to the same location every half hour between 5:30pm and 10:00pm (December 24th hours are 3:00pm - 7:00pm). Cost is $30 (tax included) per carriage. Up to 3 adults and 2 children or 4 adults will fit in the carriage. To reserve call WDW-PLAY; Please arrive 15 minutes prior to ride time. For same-day bookings, call 407-824-2832. A $30 fee will be charged for no-shows or for cancellations within 24 hours.

Ahhhh, and those jingle bells are music to our ears. We always go to VWL the first 2 weeks of Dec. The sights, the sounds and the smells of that place at Christmas time are priceless.

One of the Little FFerrets is also dancing in tiny circles--to JINGLE BELLS of all things on the Mickey Christmas sing-along video. I'm taking this as a fantastic omen

I WAS going to reserve this for downtime with Mr. FF--but now I'm going to have to invite the kids too!

My husband and I would love to take the sleigh ride. My question is, if it is just the two of us, will we ride alone, or will they fill the sleigh? I would prefer a romantic sleigh ride with my husband. Does anyone know the answer? THANKS!!!
