I was excited. For a hot minute, I actually thought that we might be in a junior suite! Because I knew they were at the end of the hall! But looking at how close our door was to the doors next door... The suites are the two OUTSIDE fours. We were one of the inside doors.

It was a long trek down the hall from the lobby/parking. That's the only reason I said that about location. As it turned out, it was a great location for getting to the boat launch and the pool, and not bad at all for getting to RF.:thumbsup2

Hi, I just found your report and I'm really enjoying it! I'm going to hop over to your dining review, too. Can't wait to hear what's next!:goodvibes

I love, love, love Wilderness Lodge! I think that it is my favorite of the resorts I have stayed at so far. Although there is something cool about being on the monorail. :)

And what great pixie dust! An upgrade with a great view! So exciting!

Arriving at the Wilderness Lodge, take two.

It was as if all the trips back and forth to the car hadn't happened. It was like we had just arrived. A playground DO OVER! We had parked our empty car and were walking into this fabulous resort. It was like the first time all over again. Time to pause. Check things out a bit.

The Wilderness Lodge is elaborately themed. According to everything that I had read before arriving, the lodge is modeled after those that were built in the national parks, specifically the pacific northwest. It's been absolute years since I have been to that area of the country. So I can't comment on the authenticity of the reproduction.

I have spent recent years in Arizona, however, especially since my parents have lived in Scottsdale since 1995. The Wilderness Lodge would be right at home in Arizona. Which may BLOW your mind. Especially if you think of deserts and cactus when you think of AZ. Central AZ is teaming with pine trees. There is even a downhill ski resort there. I know. Crazy, huh?

If you are familiar with AZ. Think Pinetop. Or Strawberry. Or Prescott (pronounced Press-kit). This is the impression that I had walking through the lobby. As the dominant theme in the Lodge was not only cabin-like, on a grand scale, of course, but also significantly Southwest inspired.

In one corner of the lobby, a fireplace that seems to reach to the top of the lobby dominates. The hearth is as tall as most people. The layers and colors of the fireplace represent the layers seen in the Grand Canyon.

803.jpg

Throughout the lobby, there are different Native American headdresses displayed in glass cases.

816.jpg

815.jpg

There are two huge totem poles that stand guard, one on each side of the lobby. You can see one totem pole in the background of the pic above.

811.jpg

805.jpg

806.jpg

The rugs, furnishings, and fabrics had an overall impression of Native American inspiration. We really enjoyed looking at all the different carvings at the tops of the poles.

807.jpg

809.jpg

Even though there were tons of people around, the lobby itself had a muted feeling. There is so much air space that the sound of voices and activity just seemed to disperse.

804.jpg

We didn't study the lobby. We were more focused on getting the lay of the land so to speak. The pictures included here were taken on a different day at a different time. The quality of some of them is pretty poor, but the lobby is difficult to photograph especially when you have a point and shoot camera.

We headed into the gift shop.

812.jpg

I love seeing the resort specific merchandise. It's part of the fun of going to the different resorts for me. There were several funny t-shirts in here. One of my favorites was very simple. It said, Here Fishy Fishy on the front. I cracked up seeing it because DH and I say that exact same thing whenever we have gone fishing.

DS was having fun trying on the hats. He put on Mickey's Sorcerer hat and put on his best Sorcerer face.

389.jpg

We were THIRSTY. It's like it hit us all at once.

When is dinner?

In a couple hours.

Ok. I can make it. But I'm really thirsty.

So we headed on over to the Roaring Fork to get our refillable mugs. They were an included item in the deluxe dining plan.

It was on our way to the RF that I started to understand the lay of the land at the Lodge. It is on something of a hill.

The lobby is the ground floor at the lobby level. But as the land gets closer to the lake, it slopes down. Therefore, there is actually one floor that is LOWER than the lobby level. As you walk from the lobby to head to RF, you head down the north wing. You will pass Artist Point and go down a very long incline. The wing makes a jog to the left before it again heads toward the lake. It is in this "jog" that RF is located. It's like it is about half way down the north wing.

RF was BUSY at this time. People were everywhere. We went directly to the cashiers to get our mugs. Our first purchase on the DxDDP! The CM was great. He hunted and hunted for a cup with the third color lid. DH was bumming at the fact that there wasn't any Diet Dr. Pepper. That's his soda choice, when he drinks it. Oh no. I totally forgot to bring some for the room! Ah well.

DH will settle for Diet Coke. I was thrilled to see brewed iced tea. DS was pumped to have ice water! Which is FAR superior to bottled water, in his opinion. We filled our mugs and turned around to see a huge line at the cashiers. I'm not sure of the rules, but since we only had our mugs, we just walked out with our ice cold drinks.

It was time to head on back to the room.

We walked into the courtyard area from RF. We started to head up a flight of stairs, but were completely distracted by a furry creature in the landscape.

Momma! Momma you HAVE to take a picture!

390.jpg

I realized that DS hasn't seen a bunny in a long time. If ever, in the "wild." He was pretty excited. He really wanted me to get a picture. Did you get it?

I'm not sure.

Take another one.

391.jpg

And another one.

392.jpg

Did you get it?

Pretty all sure. Have you read Olivia? We LOVE Olivia. That little pig. We appreciate her personality. She would be at home in our family. Just the right amount of spunk and fun. Pretty all sure is a saying that we have adopted from Olivia Saves the Circus.

We decided to try to find an alternative route to our room. We turned away from the stairs and headed over the little bridge that is a walking path over the stream that begins in the lobby. The aforementioned sloping toward the lake enables the little stream to flow down in a beautiful cascade of water.

393.jpg

394.jpg

We were able to enter the south wing at its half way point. Ahh. Here are those elevators we had passed earlier. A quick trip to the fifth floor and on down what felt like a much shorter hallway and we were back to our room.

It was flopping time for my men.

It was unpacking time for me.

I am the packer.

I am the organizer.

I don't mind that the men stay out of my way and let me do this exactly like I think it should be done.

I have a HUGE suitcase that my parents gave me after the airlines became so stringent on their luggage rules. They actually had two of these things and now, would likely, rarely be able to use them for air travel. So they kept one and gave one to us. No joke. I fit ALL our clothes for the WEEK into this one suitcase.

I was HIGHLY disappointed in the storage space of the room. I didn't think that we had overpacked. I was having a hard time finding drawers enough for everything. There were two small drawers in the furniture piece that hid the fridge. There were three very wide, but not too deep drawers in the furniture piece for the tv. I would have hung more clothes up, but there weren't very many hangers.

There was, however, plenty of storage in the sink area of the bathroom.

Before flopping in front of the novelty of cable television (we have a converter box at home), DH DID take care of what HE really cared about. ALL the beer we brought was in that fridge in a heartbeat!

Didn't want to unpack the coolers, huh?

Oops.

No big. (Don't you love KP?)

It didn't take too long to settle the room.

During this trip, we ended up watching a lot of international soccer. There was a tournament going on in South Africa during our stay. And we watched a lot of some new Disney channel. I can't remember what we zoned out on at this time, but it just felt nice to do a bunch of nothing.

"I suppose we should get ready for dinner." I announced.

"You wanna change?" DH asked.

I packed stuff to change into for dinner.

Yeah, but do you WANT to change?

Not really. But it's our anniversary deal tonight. The cake, etc.

Well, if it's YOUR celebration, shouldn't you do what YOU want?

DH had a point there. And with that, we decided that we would just go to dinner in our traveling clothes.

I was totally proud of myself. It was a great plan to just eat at the resort on our traveling day. We've been to WDW three times now. The first time, we ate at the resort on our travel day. The second, we planned to eat at another resort, but ended up eating at our own resort instead. I don't think that I will ever plan major travel on an arrival travel day.

We headed on down to Whispering Canyon Cafe for our 5:20 ADR.

I just love the detail at WL. The beavers in the elevator were too cute.

395.jpg

I even liked the light fixtures.

793.jpg

Here is the view of the lobby and the restaurant from the fifth floor where the elevators are.

396.jpg

The elevators at WL are fast. There was very little wait. We were good and hungry and ready for some grub! Yee-haw!

A link to my review of our dining at Whispering Canyon Cafe is in the trip report in my signature, if you haven't already read it.

Hi, I just found your report and I'm really enjoying it! I'm going to hop over to your dining review, too. Can't wait to hear what's next!:goodvibes

Welcome!

I love, love, love Wilderness Lodge! I think that it is my favorite of the resorts I have stayed at so far. Although there is something cool about being on the monorail. :)

And what great pixie dust! An upgrade with a great view! So exciting!

Wilderness was beautiful. A wonderful setting.

It WAS good pixie dust! I was really excited!

I was so excited to find your trip report. We live in Conroe just north of Houston and we are leaving on our road trip to Disney on Saturday. Your report is perfect to help (as if I need it) get into the mood for Disney! My parents live on Navarre Island which is right next to Pensacola so that is where we are going to stay Saturday night then spend Sunday at the beach before leaving on Monday for Disney. Thanks so much for the great report!

Welcome!

How fun!!!

A surprise trip!! Your plan to get there sounds lovely. How convenient that your family is there. I've read about the beaches there, they sound lovely. I hope you write a TR and post some pics!

And I hope you have a wonderful trip to Disney!

With full tummies, a big box of cake, and two desserts to go, we headed back up to the room.

There was a slight problem with the cake...how in the world were we supposed to fit it into such a small fridge? Even if we took out much of what was in there, there was no way it was going to fit. We just left it in the box and hoped that it would be okay.

The original PLAN for tonight had involved the possibility of heading over to Fort Wilderness to check out Chip & Dales Campfire. Chip and Dale were a lot of fun at the Cape May breakfast when we went two years ago. We thought that doing something with characters would be a lot of fun. Also, when would it ever be this easy again to go to this event? It was just an easy boat ride away!

Unfortunately, the campfire had already started. We had talked over the possibility of going anyway, sure that it would last for a while. In the end, it seemed like a bit of a hassle. We were more in a relaxing type mood. Not a hurry and get going to get there and hope to see some characters type mood.

It didn't take long for dinner to settle and the natives to feel restless. It was hot. Really, really hot. The evening was still QUITE warm. We decided that it was time to check out the pool.

The pool was the one thing that I was a bit hesitant about with WL. Our last trip was to Beach Club. We LOVED SAB. I thought that WL might be a bit of a let down.

I have to admit that it was.

I knew beforehand that there wasn't a zero-entry. That wasn't too big of a deal. The area is pretty. The trees. The lake. The stream. The waterfall. I think it is simply the size of the pool itself and the layout of the lounge chairs.

Perhaps it was that there were SO MANY people using the pool. Maybe more people were using the pool than normal, given that the heat index was around 105 for the day. You couldn't move in the pool without hitting someone. I literally could not reach my arms out to the side without coming into contact with another person.

And the layout of the lounge chairs was very tight on the south side of the pool. It was difficult to move between the rows.

We did manage to find one empty chair where we piled our towels and cover-ups.

None of these things had ANY impact whatsoever on DS. He has memories but they are still very vague. The here and now are what is important. This pool was HERE. It was NOW. We were going swimming! DS was thrilled. He hopped right in.

I must say. The water was easy to hop right into. It wasn't quite bath water, but it didn't have ANY sort of chill to it AT ALL.

DS doesn't enjoy getting his face wet. He still prefers to climb on DH and go for a ride around the pool. He likes to play pretend. He likes to try to surf on DH. He likes to goad DH and I into tickle fights, etc etc.

It turns out that I was goaded into going down the slide.

Now I am a 37-year old woman. I felt twice as tall as EVERY single other would be slide rider in line. I caught some looks from the kids. I gave them a BIG smile. I LOVE a good slide.

The WL slide is an okay slide. I was able to get up a bit of speed. But, being as how I am adult size, going through the tunnel at the beginning of the slide was a bit rough. There wasn't enough slope to help with the momentum, and having to lie down at the beginning, I couldn't really help myself along...

I saw DH crack a big smile when he saw me pinch my nose before hitting the water. Really. I don't like it when the water rushes up my nose!

We decided to check out the hot tubs.

The hot tubs at WL are very conveniently located. If I remember correctly, at least one at AKL (if there are two) is very isolated from the pool. At WL, they sort of overlook the pool area, being a step or two higher than the pool deck.

There are two hot tubs. One is decidedly cooler than the other. It is much more friendly for children and for pregnant women. It wasn't too much hotter than regular bath water. The other hot tub, by far the FAVORITE, the most crowded, is much, much hotter.

It was nice to just sit and talk with other guests.

Despite the heat and the crowds, most people were reporting having a great time. That's just what you want to hear on your first night.

I suddenly realized that I hadn't seen the geyser. We went over to check it out. And that's when we learned that it wasn't working at this time. Sorry for the any inconvenience this may cause.

We went back and forth between the hot tubs and the pool for a bit.

With wrinkly hands and feet, we headed back to the room.

We were ready for some dessert.

DH and I were also ready for some adult libation.

We couched out on the beds. Ate our pecan pie desserts. Or in my case, tried the pecan pie dessert. Ate some super yummy tasty cake. And had a couple of Lime Bud Lights, which we had never tried before.

And suddenly, I heard MUSIC!!

What is that?

And I remembered the WATER PARADE!!

We rushed out onto the balcony to see it!

I think that I mentioned in my dining report that my men aren't much into parades. Nor fireworks. During our first trip to WDW, we were watching Wishes. About half way through, DS was done. Do we have to stay here and watch?

I know. It's a bit disappointing. I just keep hoping that it will change someday.

DS watched for a bit, but he wasn't that interested. He headed back into the room. DH headed back in to keep DS company. I stayed and enjoyed the entire show.

It really is a cute production.

The music is LOUD. There is a different song coordinated to each different float in the parade. As each new float makes its appearance, the song easily changes into the next one. The music is all instrumental. A kind of big band sound. It is very well coordinated.

I LOVED the end too. I'm feeling especially patriotic these days. Maybe in response to where I think overall it feels like there is a decidedly UNpatriotic air about these days. I was so proud that Disney would have a tribute to the flag and the US as part of the show.

419.jpg

420.jpg

I realize now that this may have just been associated with the up and coming Independence Day holiday. I don't know if that's a regular part of the show.

It was around 9:35 PM. I tried to take a few night-time views from our balcony. Here's the Contemporary.

421.jpg

And the boat dock.

422.jpg

I joined my men in lounging.

430.jpg

I was startled by the sound of fireworks just a short while later!

WISHES!!

I rushed back out to the balcony to see what I could see there!

426.jpg

427.jpg

428.jpg

Which wasn't too much! The view was pretty poor. No music. I didn't stay long on the balcony. Back in the room, I saw this beautiful site.

431.jpg

It WAS about time to turn in for the night. There hadn't been much sleep for a couple of days now. I was pretty tired. So was DH. We pulled the black out curtains super tight and crawled into bed. I didn't want to mess with the alarm clock. We set our cell phones for 8:00 AM. The next day was Father's Day!!

Totally wonderful update!! Your pics of the resort are just so nice, I cannot cannot cannot wait to go back to WL!! WE had fun that evening just hanging there for that reason.. and I agree with you it is a serene place.... the pool probably was a lot more crowded than I remember (from our October stay in 05) but I hear you on the DS's philosophy that pool is all that matters! :thumbsup2 Still I know zero entry is the best!

Funny that we both ditched the campfire idea :) I was thinking you were going to do it so I could hear all about it!!

YOUR WATER PARADE PICS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THIS is what we MISSED this trip, I have got to time it so we see this in December, I remember really enjoying it before! You got great shots, and btw I never mentioned I loved the cake!!

Funny about the beer!!! Oh, and from previous post about DS's "kissy face" noise.. so boyish!!!

Great update, can't wait to see what the next day holds!!!
;)

i love the Lodge...sigh!! Thanks for all the great pics. The room you guys scored is no less than awesome! Can't wait to read more!

Your son looks so sweet! Must be nice to hit the hay at "home":goodvibes

The resort IS so nice. Like our other trips, I left thinking that I didn't really make good use of the resort itself. There were so many places to sit and hang out and relax. If I had had a good book with me...:rotfl: I'm not sure how many times I have to go to WDW before I would be more excited about relaxing like that as opposed to going to the parks or DOING something!

Funny that we both ditched the campfire idea :) I was thinking you were going to do it so I could hear all about it!!

Yeah, I was kind of bummed about the campfire. After seeing Donna's pics, and hearing about her time there, I thought it would be fun. And, no joke, I thought to myself, well, I'll see what Happydog thinks about it!

I really enjoyed the water parade. I'm not sure about going out of your way to see it though. It really is such a short production when it is all said and done, but it if fits in with the evening's plans. It WAS fun to see it from the room, if we were in the room, that is. btw, my pictures were greatly enhanced with the SHARPEN feature of picture editting! There weren't too bad to begin with, just a little fuzzy, not jumpy, so that edit really helped out! And the cake DID come out nice.:goodvibes

I grabbed that beer because I bought it in the aluminum bottle version thinking we could take it down to the pool.;) But we were swimming, not lounging.

i love the Lodge...sigh!! Thanks for all the great pics. The room you guys scored is no less than awesome! Can't wait to read more!

The room WAS a really great bonus.:thumbsup2

Great view of the water parade!

Too bad the geyser wasn't working, it really is fun to see.

As I said, I loved being able to see the parade from the room, when we were there! I was pretty disappointed about the geyser. I never got to see it.:sad1:

Your son looks so sweet! Must be nice to hit the hay at "home":goodvibes

He IS a sweetie! Thanks! It was very nice to hit the hay on vacation!:cloud9: Especially knowing that we had a whole week in front of us!

What a great day! Arriving at WL, a lil pixie dust, WCC, some pool time, and the Water Parade! Oh, and we musn't forget the cake. :)

I unpack everything too. And there is never enough space.

DH and I were jarred awake by the unfamiliar ringtone alarm. :scared1: Quick. Turn it off. Turn it OFF! It got my heart racing! DS was totally unaffected, of course.

Today was Father's Day! It wasn't our first day of vacation, but it FELT like it was. Something about finally waking up IN WL. The room was still pitch black. Gotta love black out curtains! It wasn't the first time I thought that I really needed to make some for our bedrooms. We all slept like LOGS in the dark room with the ceiling fan whirring over head. Ahhhh. :cloud9:

More excited to check out the morning lake view than anything else, I hopped out of bed and went out to the balcony. GORGEOUS!

I couldn't hear another voice. There was NO ONE ANY where. The beach was empty. The pool was empty. The tables at the pool side bar were empty. If was SO peaceful. SO beautiful. If ONLY there was a nonfat, no whip cinnamon dolce latte in my hand! BUT. There WAS a 9:10 ADR at BOMA in my name! Yeah Baby! (Toontown, anyone?)

I headed back into the room and crawled back into bed to show DH the PICTURES of the view out side! He was sleepy. He was enjoying the bed still. I was trying to entice him with the beautiful view outside!

We agreed that I would hit the shower first. When I got out of the shower, DS was having some good cuddle time with his Daddy. He doesn't get to cuddle with Daddy as much as me. DH has often already left for work when DS gets up in the morning. I heard DS wish DH a Happy Daddy's Day! :lovestruc Ahhhhh.

DH and I switched places.

After DH's shower, DS took a bath.

I didn't rush the time this morning. We were working on the business of getting ready at a steady pace. I didn't need to rush us this am. It was Father's Day. It was vacation. And this is WHY we were walking out of the room at the time that they recommend you check in for your ADR, 8:50 AM!

In my handy, dandy trip binder, I had directions printed for how to get to all our ADRs. :thumbsup2 We didn't rely on the signs. We ended up driving AWAY from the signs. But we weren't lost. We just went a different way. Past the Fort and onto Bonnet Creek if you are interested.

We were on what felt like a backway. Then we got onto a parkway type thing. Four lanes divided! I was CRUSING.:car: Maybe it was the leftover feeling from the road trip. The road just FELT like you should be able to speed right along.

We passed the Tower of Terror billboard thing where the elevator is dangling from the sign. DH got all excited. He LOVES ToT. It makes him laugh SO hard. We were getting more and more excited as time passed.

How fast are you going anyway?

Why?:confused3

There was a LOT of bantering about how fast I was driving. A LOT of teasing. A LOT of joking. What's the deal. I mean, we WERE passing people right and left. Not my fault that they are relying on signs and don't know where they are going.

OHHHHHH!

I finally saw the speed limit sign! It was like 40 MPH or something ridiculous like that! Oh my!

DH said, "Maybe THAT's why the directions say 22 minutes."

We were parking the car after about 10 minutes or so of driving.:rolleyes1

We had just started walking away from the car when I remembered the Father's Day gifts! I hurried back to the car to get them! I had prepared a little bag with the gift and all the cards and stashed it under the floorboard of my trunk area with the spare tire. Sure enough, DH didn't have a clue it was there.

I came back carrying the little bag.

DH asks, "Whatcha got there?"

And I totally ignored him.:upsidedow Instead, I started chattering on about how I was looking forward to seeing Animal Kingdom Lodge again.

It was the first resort we stayed at on property. I know that AKL and WL were designed by the same architect. It was really interesting to go back to AKL and make comparisons.

Not that we had a bunch of time to make comparisons. We were in a HURRY to check in for our ADRs.

As we waited, I took a shot of DH and DS. It's a funny pic. It's like a glimpse into the future. DH has white sun block all on his face and kind of not blended in too well at his hair line!

439.jpg

If you haven't read my dining report, you can read all about our Boma meal here.

Now I warned y'all in my intro that you would learn more than you wanted to know about us...

So we started off the meal with a card addressed "To the one with such rubbable legs..." Our little girl cat Molly LOVES to rub DH's legs right when he gets out the shower. Weird kitty. It was a cute card from the cat with a picture of a calico cat that resembled Molly. It made DH laugh.

A bit later, we opened up round two.

DS wrote on the envelope...Once there was a question. The card has a picture of Darth Vadar on the front, and the text: Across the centuries and the galaxies, one question has plagued mankind- "Why?" And dads have the answer...

It's a talking card. When you open it up, Darth Vadar says, "I AM your father." With the text: (that's why)

This is too perfect for our family. We LOVE Star Wars and DH quotes this line all the time whenever we read anything from Luke in the Good Book or anyother time it MIGHT make a lick of sense to quote.

There was another card from our other cat, Toby, our plump boy. It was addressed "To the one with the pits I love to smell..." because gross boy that he is, Toby always smells DH's pits in the morning if we are lounging in the bed. :scared: I know. Right.

The cover of the card had a picture of a cat making a hilarious face and saying, in a word bubble, Dad, Seriously! Light a Match! No additional commentary needed.

Round 3 came in another buffet interval. Here was a sentimental, meaningful card from DS. And a separate one from me. I LOVE my DH. We brought tears to his eyes. Happy Father's Day! His gift was a folding picture frame. The kind that holds two 5 x 7 pictures with hinges between so it can stand up by itself. It was for DH's desk at work. This is our traditional Father's Day gift.

One frame had DS's latest soccer picture, which is probably one of our fav pics of him. It's just such a good likeness. He looks so convident in it. The other was a surprise picture of DS and me. Also a soccer portrait. I was the team manager this year. For doing that, I got a complementary picture with my son. It hadn't come in the box with all the team pictures. I had had to call to have it sent. They had overlooked it. I was so excited that it came the day before we left for WDW so I could include it with the gift! DH was excited to see it. I would show it but DH already took it to work. Sorry.

Feeling good. Super duper happy tummies. We headed out. We paused to take the pictures we didn't have time to take on the way in. These are at the stairs from the parking lot to the front entrance.

452.jpg

Going to Boma this day turned out to be a GREAT plan. This was our first trip to WDW with a car. So it was also the first trip where we were eating at other resorts. I remembered thinking that the DTD bus was a real PAIN, so I combined a resort breakfast with a Downtown Disney day.

And that's just where we went to next.

What a great day! Arriving at WL, a lil pixie dust, WCC, some pool time, and the Water Parade! Oh, and we musn't forget the cake. :)

I unpack everything too. And there is never enough space.
Reading it all summed up in one sentence like that...WOW...What a GREAT day!

Note to self: Pack HANGERS.

I was LOLing when reading about the cards from your cats. We have 6 and they do the same weird stuff to us. Their favorite is licking the water off of our legs when we get out of the shower. :confused3 They're so odd! Last year, my DH tried to make me a Mother's Day card from the cats (we don't have any kids yet). Let's just say cat paws + ink pads + Mother's Day cards = great idea in concept, not so great idea in execution. :rotfl:

The view from your room looks AMAZING, so peaceful and relaxing.

Loving the TR so far---can't wait to read more!

i was loling when reading about the cards from your cats. We have 6 and they do the same weird stuff to us. Their favorite is licking the water off of our legs when we get out of the shower. :confused3 they're so odd! Last year, my dh tried to make me a mother's day card from the cats (we don't have any kids yet). 6 cats!!!:scared1::lmao:

I don't know if I could HANDLE that much personality walking around my house! I LOVE our kitties. Didn't think I would ever feel this way about cats. My parents are dog people. Really don't like cats themselves, so naturally, I took after them, with a little distain for cats. DH, however, always had cats. Long story on getting the cats, but suffice it to say, I'm so happy we have our two. I can't imagine our family without them.

I'm cracking up picturing your DH trying to make the cards!:rotfl2: My little girl would be copping an attitude BIG time. You want me to touch my paw on what?!? I can only imagine! Oh my!

I'm in a writing mood today. I have to take a break from the house projects. My shoulder is absolutely SCREAMING at me!:scared: I'm not used to using it as much as I have been. So I'm trying to get some TR done.

Back and forth between TR and playing Toontown with DS. I'll be making more posts today. Get your lattes. There should be a bit to read...:goodvibes

If you are short on hangers on your next trip call housekeeping and they will bring you a few more.
We have one cat who is very spoiled and we treat her like one of the family. That is the only bad part about vacations. I hate to leave her. She is 15 and a few months ago she had a thyroid ioidine treatment at Cornell Vet Hospital and she is doing better, but I always worry about her.
Great report. Can't wait to read more.
