We are going to have a total of 8 folks on our site on our next visit in March. The ladies and kids are staying in the RV and 3 guys outside. We will have a tent and a canopy on the site in addition to the RV (limit stated for FW), but my son and I have sleeping hammocks that we'd like to use..very comfy!:cloud9: Are hammocks allowed in the trees? Do you think the FW police would tag us for too many "items"?:confused3

They allow clothes lines in trees. I don't see why they would object to the hammocks. Also, people sometimes tie their tarps to the trees, so again, I see no problem with the hammocks.

Frank- I think he might be referring to enclosed jungle hammocks. No rain coats needed! Also keeps the bugs out!

We set up a hammock almost every trip....We never use it but, its there just in case....No one has ever said anything to us

It looks comfier than the couch or the dog house. :lmao:

This is the type we use. It's a LOT more comfortable than an air mattress and keeps you dry if set up properly.."properly" being the key word!

I used mine the first time when leading a boy scout trip to Cumberland Island, GA a few years ago...was fine until one night when a parade of armadillos and coons decided to go underneath, scraping the bottom and waking me up each pass!
