I have a family of 5, with 3 kids who are now 6, 5 and 5. We usually sleep in a 2-BR, but with the point changes, looking for ways to optimize our points.

Has anyone with younger kids like this slept 5 in a 1-BR? If so, how was it?

Also, which DVC resorts allow 5 in a 1-BR? I know Kidani does. Does Jambo house? How about BLT?

DVC has been allowing 5 in a 1BR in everything except AKV value. We have had 3 children on the sleep sofa plenty of times so as long as that works for your family it should be ok, of course that assumes that you can keep them out of your king bed.

Here is the link to the thread for discussion of occupancy limits.

AKV (Jambo and Kidani) except the small number of value rooms in Jambo have accomodations for sleeping 5 in a 1BR (the lving room has the pull out couch and a pull out sleeper chair; value rooms do not have that chair). BLT will also have the sleeper chair to sleep the fifth. The other rosorts do not but generally Disney has allowed 5 in a 1BR but does not provide anything extra, such as a cot, to sleep the fifth.

Personally, I value space and would not do 5 in a 1BR, but obviously it is an option that many can take advantage of.

Occupancy is a hot topic here on the DVC Boards, and we limit the discussion to this thread.

As the previous poster said, DVC has been allowing 5, but that could change at some point in the future. The resorts that have sleeper chairs, in addition to the sofa sleeper, and have sleeping space for 5 are AKV (except value class rooms) and BLT.
