Hey there,

My husband was raving about the fact that he saw the "SlapChop" thing at Wal-Mart today, and he wants one in the worst way! Yes, he is your typical sucker.

Anyway, does anyone have any idea as to how well these things ACTUALLY work? I'm always leery of anything sold on late-night infomercials, and would love to know if this thing actually lives up to all the hype. If it does I may get him one for Christmas! :thumbsup2

Thanks in advance

:flower3:I bought one of these a few weeks ago and I don't really care for it, it doesn't dice it turns everything into mush and makes a big mess, maybe I'm not using it correctly but I really didn't care for it , sorry maybe someone else has something positive to say.

Get it- stop having boring tuna, stop having a boring life!!!!! :rotfl:

I have one from pampered chef and I don't use it often, but it does come in handy especially when I need to chop alot of veggies for something. I use it mostly when I entertain because I'm making large quantity dishes, I really don't use it for everyday things like tuna.

On the local Fox CHannel they do a weekly segment called deal or dud. They did this one---IT WAS A DUD!

I had one from Pampered Chef that I loved! The blades on it were really sharp, so nothing turned to mush... maybe the blade on the Slap Chop aren't sharp enough. :confused3

You know what TV product I do love though? It's the Vidalia Onion chopper. It's got two inserts, one for diced and one for chopped. We use onions and green peppers so much that it was a great buy for us. It's not as versatile as the Pampered Chef chopper I had, but I like it so much better.

I agree with the others, get the one from Pampered Chef. Mine is about five years old and still works perfectly!

I'm not familiar with the 'slap chop'. My husband would want it just based on the name!:rotfl:

I'm another that loves my pampered chef chopper and have used it for years.

Another vote for the Pampered Chef one. I don't use it a ton, but it comes in handy for onions and chopping things into smaller pieces. Nuts, celery, olives, etc.

We have a lady here who sells Pampered Chef pretty frequently. I'll have to look into that!

Thanks for the input y'all!

I also recommend the Pampered Chef one. I have had mine for about 10 yrs and it still chops like it did when it was new. It also opens up so you can easily clean it in the dishwasher.

Another vote for the pampered chef version, I don't have one but my boss does and she swears by it. And she's a quality snob, if it sucked she'd say so!

I want to get one, so I can use it wearing my snuggy, then use my sham-wow to clean up afterwards(you know all the good stuff comes from germany) :thumbsup2:lmao:

I love my Pampered Chef one. Get that instead.

If you want to be entertained go to YouTube and look at the infomercial for the Slap Chop and then watch the parodies....those are soooo funny.:lmao:
