M y sister visited from Europe over holidays she hooked me up to Skype last week i pressed make a call and one time video will i have to pay i talked to my nephew for a long time how does it work? Worried will get a bill .

As long as you made a video to video call. If you made a video to phone that is where the charges occur. Otherwise you are in the clear. I love Skype, yes the connections are not the greatest sometimes but it is free.

Thank you one time i pressed where it says call other time video how would they charge if you phoned im scared of it .I checked my phone bill no charge .

Yea, they will either bill your internet connection, or if it's thru the phone or cable like ours is, then they'll bill you there. We do the video chat with my father in law in Japan, and LOVE it! Never had a charge!! We always do the video thingie. Have had it for quite a while now, I see my great niece and great nephew that way too, since they're far away!!! It's awesome!

as long as u are calling them on skype u are ok..u can have the video on or not...if u call their home phone, then their would be a charge - i'm sure you'd have to put in information for them to charge u so i'm sure your ok.

I speak to my friend in Australia often....

Ijust am amazed no charge it showed on screen how many minutes i was on which seemed weird. Iam not very technical so it all scares me.

If you were speaking via video on your computer to them on their computer (video) you should be just fine. If you clicked on their name in your list of contacts, it should be a skype video call. I wouldn't think your sister would have set anything up to call regular phone numbers. Just think of it as video email that happens to be live...no charge.
