Skyliner status

We get there Sunday afternoon and had planned to go Epcot via the Skyliner for a little food & wine dinner. We probably won’t go if it’s not running, which it doesn’t look like it

It's been running everyday since the accident. No idea when it will reopen but there is extensive testing

They are running a bus. No idea why but why at BWI we saw a bus marked Skyliner and stops at BWI, Pop, Aoa and Carribean, best I can recall.


No he's not at all informative. He's negative for the sake of being negative. If Disney says the sky is blue he'll argue that it's green because Disney can't be right. There's nothing informative about that. Nothing is ever good enough

I don't read every post on this board. But the majority of the ones I have seen from him have been informative for me. YMMV

I am here now. They are running the Skyliners empty. I have asked several cast members the status and they don’t know or they aren’t allowed to give out the info.

Both most likely. They may not know yet but even when they do know they won't give out the info before an official announcement comes from Disney

I would guess a few weeks still. i would expect there are multiple inspections that it will have to pass again before it can open.

From what I was watching at the stations they are taking a lot of time retraining the CM on spacing the cars. Since that was probably a factor in the incident. You can watch them at the HS station easily and I saw them timing and counting out loud as each was released.

I was at Epcot today, they were running. I saw people in them. Not sure if back to fully operational yet.

They could be Skyliner CMs or imagineers testing the line.

It will be clear when they are opened. The signs blocking the entrance to the stations will be gone. Signs still there, they are testing. Signs gone, they are open.

Received a text from a co-worker this morning. She and her family rode Skyliner this morning. They checked into Pop this past weekend. She was really hoping it would reopen for their trip - glad it did!
