In late January we’re driving to HS in morning, and taking skyliner to Epcot in the afternoon. HS closes at 8pm, Epcot at 9pm. Will we be able to get back to HS to get our car at ~9:30?
Or bus.Not sure about the Skyliner but you could always walk it.
Mmmm, I’m 70+ so maybe adding a long walk at the end of a two-park day might not be best. lolNot sure about the Skyliner but you could always walk it.
They still be running busses too a park that closed 90 minutes earlier?Or bus.
The boats will be running stillThey still be running busses too a park that closed 90 minutes earlier?
Worst case, you tell a CM in purple pants (transportation uniform) that you need to get back to your car at DHS.They still be running busses too a park that closed 90 minutes earlier?
Haven't ridden a bus in years, eh?Worst case, you tell a CM in purple pants (transportation uniform) that you need to get back to your car at DHS.
On NYE all 3 lines ran till 2am. Epcot closed at 1am and studios at 12am if that helps. Back in October when Epcot closed at 9pm on weeknight and studios at 10:00pm they ran till 10:30. They ran till 11pm when Epcot closed at 10pm on Friday/Saturday.If DHS does indeed close at 8, boats won't be running to it at 9:30.
Disney has been unclear on the Skyliner closing. It's your guess as to whether they'll be closing the DHS line after the park closes, or keeping it open as long as the Epcot line at the end of the month. Check the posted hours or ask a Skyliner cm when you depart DHS.
Park-to-park buses are supposed to be available to get Guests back to their cars until both parks clear, but you may need to ask for it.

One person, no issue but it would slow them down significantly if they had to go through normal loading/unloading process at both ends at all stops, waiting for passengers to board etc. vs. just getting all of the people exiting at end of night. They are required to wait at each stop for so many minutes, not just load up whoever happens to be at the dock when they arrive.Several years ago DD & I spent the day at DHS. She had a rehearsal that night so her friend met us & she & I walked to Epcot for the evening including watching Illuminations. DHS closed at 8. Upon exiting through the IG, we were told the boats could not take us to DHS. We could walk to the Epcot front entrance and take a bus or walk to DHS which is what we reluctantly did.
Frosted my butt to see the boats actually were still going to DHS but only to take guests from the park, not to it. What possible problem would it was caused to take us there?!?!?!
But don't they unload first and then load second, with fiddling of gates/ropesSo in the minutes they have to wait, people could get off
