If I understand correctly, in order to take the skyliner from Riv to DHS we need to transfer at Caribbean beach station. Has anyone experienced that in recent weeks? I am curious about the wait times at the CBR station, in the morning with everyone trying to get to DHS for a Rise boarding pass at park opening at 10am.

Just did this on Saturday. The Skyliner from Riviera did not start running until 9:00 a.m. Once it got running getting it was pretty quick to get on. When we arrived at CBR station they were already boarding for DHS, so while the line was long to get on, it went quickly. We were in DHS by 9:30 a.m.

You can also walk to the CBR station from Riviera. Longer walk of course, but another option to consider if you want to be near the front of the line.
