Skylander's Giants Delay (?)

Just wondering if anybody else has pre-ordered Skylander's Giants? We did from TRU. The expected date out is this Sunday (although it says the 21st through the 28th. I just got an email that says the shipment has been delayed and they will inform me when they have an update. Anybody else see the same thing? Just wondering if it's just TRU who is having a problem, or maybe a certain number of people who pre-ordered who are having problems? I must say it's irritating, as we pre-ordered to avoid any problems in getting it, and having to scramble all over the world to find this game. DS will be SO disappointed. He has been counting the days practically since last spring when we first found out about it.

Any word out there?

I pre-ordered from Target and I haven't heard anything. I have a card for it, but I don't remember them taking my info. There is a display set up at my Wal-mart that says the 21st. I also hope there isn't a delay, my son has also been counting down the days.

I preordered mine from Best Buy and received it Friday. MIL ordered from TRU and got an email saying the Blue Bash bonus figure was unavailable and it included a code for a free figure from the original set.

I was at Walmart tonight and the display info was up and the shelves beneath it were being cleared for the product to go in tomorrow. So stores are getting their shipments. I suppose it's a matter of how many pre-orders a store took vs. how many units they are receiving.
We ordered ours from EBGames (the Canadian GameStop) and reading this, I am thinking I will go in and pick ours up tomorrow. Wouldn't be the first time my pre order was let go because someone walked in and wanted one, so I am hesitant to even wait a few days to pick it up. It's pretty much all my 8 year old has talked about wanting for Christmas.

On an related note.. it stinks when they start pleading for something in October and I have to pretend the answer is No so I don't ruin the surprise for Christmas.

Why not just tell your child to put it on his or her Christmas list?

Yes, I got the same email from TRU about the Skylander game too. DS is so disappointed. I just hope my DD's pre-ordered Doc McStuffins dolls are not delayed because momma will not be happy.
