anyone getting their kids this skylanders game for christmas?? ive ordered on (from best buy, huge mistake) and was wondering if anyone knew of any deals on the figures themselves?? thanks!

I had to buy two games for my kids. My dd has a wii and my son the xbox 360. I've been picking them up by the twos at our local walmart and target. Mostly target only because I can use my employee discount on them. I haven't seen any on sale. I do want to buy a couple more for Christmas.

the week of black friday toys r us had buy one get one free on all skylanders accessories, i was able to pick up 2 3 packs, great deal, and one was legendary (TRU excluive) which apparently is pretty hard to get. just looking for som more deals for stocking stuffers and whatnot.

Toyrsus was having some deal on the game plus figures yesterday - but you had to be buying the game. Since you already have that I guess it's not very helpful. I am waiting to see what Grandma is bringing tomorrow but I will be adding figures I guess to the stocking. I'll be watching to see if anyone finds deals.

I'm not clear from your post what you mean when you say picking them up by twos. Just in case you mean that you are buying duplicate figures since you have 2 systems, I wanted to give you a quick note. My understanding (from the Skylander website) is that the figures can be used between systems. So no need to buy duplicate figures. Hope that helps someone.

LOL! What I meant was i am buy two each time. One for my dd and one for my ds, theyre never the same. They can share with each other.

if youre buying 2 at a time, it might be cheaper to just get 3 packs. a friend told me sams had em at 16.99 or so, which isnt much more than the price for just 2.

Non right now but amazon had the starter pack on sale for 49.99 and figures 2 for 10 last week. By past years record they will repeat that again around 15 days b4 christmas

Seems like a lot of the sets are selling out pretty quick. If a sale is offered and I do expect stores like Amazon, TRU or Target to offer anther round of the before Christmas, I would try to be there on the first day of the sale. I would worry about selection after then.

I bought the starter kit for the Xbox the day before Thanksgiving on Amazon for $49 and then they also had the 2 for $10 deal going on as well so I grabbed 4 figures. I had $60 in Amazon gift cards from taking online surveys so that worked out well, I only spent $10 for all of those. Then on black friday TRU had the expansion sets for B1G1 so I was able to get both of those for $20 and I used a $10 giftcard. Can't go wrong with the starter set, 4 additional figures and both expansion sets for $20 out of pocket! What's funny is this is what DH is asking for, not DD.

Gamestop has the individual figures on sale for $4.99. If you order online, you do not get to pick which ones. Hope that helps. I don't know when the price ends. Good luck.
