Skycaps and e-tickets

This will be our first time flying with electronic tickets and I was wondering if we can check in using the skycaps. We are flying from Chicago O'Hare to MCO on AA. We generally just wait in line and since we are departing/returning on Sunday nights, I'm pretty sure the airports will not be too crowded. It's just that if we are running late, it's good to know that we can take advantage of the skycaps!

Less than 3 weeks to go! Hard to believe it's almost here!

We used the skycaps to check in our luggage and get boarding passes when we went from MSP to MCO last January. We had e- tickets. I can't believe it would be any different at ORD. For us it was fast and convenient and cost only a tip. Have fun on your trip!

I have flown many times, but I must admit I don't actually know what skycaps
are...could someone please shed some light? Thanks so much!

I'd like to use the skycaps this trip for checking our bags and getting boarding passes, then return the rental car. When you get the boarding passes from the skycap - do they have a computer so the 'system' sees that you've checked in right away? Or is there a delay of any kind? This is for MCO airport.

The ability to do this varies from airline to airline and airport to airport. Check with your airline for both your departing and return airports.

If the service is offered, I never stand in those ticket counter lines (yuck!). On our trip from Dallas to Orlando just a couple of weeks ago, we checked in with the skycaps on both legs (Delta). Very easy and convenient, and it only cost a tip (we usually give a $1 per checked bag).

Gracie2u, the skycaps have the computer system (again, where the service is offered). They will check your id, and print your boarding passes. This will show you checked in, there is no delay.

Some airlines offer this. Why not call the airline and inquire? Also when your baggage is checked then I go park the car. I head to the gate and get my boarding pass and only wait a few minutes. It is much nicer though to do it at the curb. One of the airlines I flew recently offered this and it was very nice.
