SkyAuction

Wow! I guess I missed the $100 off.....but I wasn't really sure about all of the auctions. I did some homework on this board and on tripadvisor.com and wanted to be sure and get a decent place.

I got a 1 bedroom at Vacation Villiage. Our kids are little so a 1 bedroom is quite sufficient. Just really need that 2nd TV! LOL!

I am just wondering what a "partial kitchen" means?????

my post was about the HOME & AWAY auctions now being offered three times a day on skyauction at 2 6 and 10 ( have not seen the incentive offered of 100$ certificate offered on any other auction )

sad to say you will have the smaller unit of the two bedrooms units at vacation village at the parkway.....

we got vacation village too but would not have done it unless we had one with the full kitchen ( we stayed here in january 2003 )

you used to see a lot of two bedrooms at vacation village which would mean you had both sides of the unit

with the way they are marketing the place now, they break the TWO bedroom up into the full kitchen/partial kitchen one bedrooms....

by the way you will share a vestibule with the person in the one bedroom full kitchen if that side happens to be rented out or exchanged out during the time you are there

the resort is actually quite nice ....compact and easy access to disney....pool area is small but adequate ( the back entrance is across the street from Arabian Nights ) .....you enter the resort at the intersection where if you turned the other way you would be going into Celebration World

they are renovating building 1 and 2 now

in some of the buildings you have to share the washer/dryer on the floor, in other newer buidlings there are washer/dryers in at least the larger one bedrooms

you can check out further at this website

http://www.dailymanagementresorts.com/parkway.htm

in the floor plan there, you would have side B

for the price it is a good deal since you have 100$ of what you paid given back to you as a coupon code to use on a future skyauction offer

get a feeling this HOME & AWAY auction might get more expensive as time goes on and people SEE the value or they pull the 100$ incentive certificate....the last couple days they have been going for mide 180's , the lowest i have seen in the past week was 167$

Ah, thanks for clearing that up for me. I didn't even realize it was a smaller 1 bedroom until the end of the auction....my fault.

I am sure it will still be a wonderful time. We were going to stay in a hotel room so this is still much better and cheaper.

It says on the website that there are TVs in the living area and in the bedroom areas so I will still get a 2nd TV right? I know that is a silly thing to harp on but with little kids it is really a big deal for us as they never keep quiet for us to enjoy a show when we are tired in the evening and I can't stand cartoons on all the time! If there aren't 2 TVs I will pack our 9 in with the built in VCR and bring tapes!

Thanks! That will work fine. The VCR is only for the kids and as long as there is a cartoon channel we may not need a VCR.

Can't wait to go! Tonight I am heading to Barnes and Nobles to get the UG 2006 version!
