I'm still trying to figure everything out before placing my first bid.

I'm looking at an RSG auction. I checked the list of resorts and there is one in Florida that I'm interested in. When I click on the Request tab to hold a room there, the screen that comes up shows the arrival date and says "Number of Days: 7"

Does that mean 7 days, as in arrive or Saturday and leave on Friday? Or does it mean 7 nites as in Saturday to Saturday? If it is 7 nites, then I'm all set to bid. I can't contact SkyAuction for an answer until Tuesday because of the holiday so I'm hoping someone here will know.

Have a great holiday everyone.

The RSG auction I won in January was Saturday to Saturday, but that equals 7 nights, 8 days. I'd email or call skyauction directly to be sure before I bid on it.

Ours was 7 nights also. I checked into OLCC on a Friday and checked out on a Friday.

They are for seven nights. Timeshare resorts, unless bid per day, are week rentals for seven nights. It will be Friday-Friday, Saturday-Saturday, Sunday-Sunday as most timeshare resorts only have arrival/departure on those days.

Everything I looked at was 7 nights...I won Vistana Resort for July from Sat. to Sat.

All the resort auctions I've seen have also been for a full week - 8 days and 7 nites. That's why I thought it was odd that this one specifically said "7 Days" and I wasn't sure what to make of that. Thanks for the replies.

Is Skyaution like e bay in that it is private owners who are putting themselves or should I say their property out there for bid or is it like a Hotelkingdom that just gets a certain amount of rooms and puts them out there for bid. I am still trying to figure the whole thing out. I know I am not a big E bay person but here is another question, how do you people know what all the "stuff" means. Is there an explanation page. I went on a couple of times and then threw up my hands is surrender.

The first few times I visited SkyAuction, I was rather confused myself. Since so many people here raved about the deals, I stuck with it and read through some of the help screens, e-mailed them with a few questions and posted some questions here. Turns out it really is much simpler than it seems at first.

I believe SkyAuction is more like HotelKingdom. That's why they can offer many identical deals for the same price. I don't think it is individual owners listing their properties.

As for all the "stuff", not sure what you are referring to but there are plenty of FAQ pages and SkyAuction staff has promptly responded to all of my e-mails. You can also call them with questions but I haven't needed to do that yet.

I believe Sky Auction is an RCI website. RCI is a timeshare company, and they auction off unused weeks, so no, it's not individual owners.

I'm not sure how they get the deals on the hotel rooms and cruises, though. I guess maybe they work like a Travel Agency and get commissions so they are able to discount based on that?
