I bought my RSG auction quite a few months ago and now I am getting worried. Does it seem that less and less inventory are showing up for the months. Feb. had nothing I believe. My trip is only 10 weeks away and with nowhere to stay I am getting a little stressed! I will be making a back up reservation at POP but do you think I am freaking out to early?

I've noticed it too. January was slim pickings, to say the least. And February looks pretty dismal as well. Yet December had many openings. Perhaps they are cutting back in 2004 with their offerings? I don't know enough about how it works to really say one way or the other, but I have noticed a depleted inventory in the RSG auctions.

Tell me about it!! I have 38 days till we go to WDW! I won my auction awhila ago as well and there`s still nothing for my dates of Feb 29-March 7

They said i could use my money i all ready paid on another auction but those auctions are going for about $300 more than what i paid on my RSG aughhhhhhhh!

I hope something comes up soon!

hockey mom, I would start becoming concerned. The inventory will only become tighter. Have you called skyauction?

sorry folks - I only bid on the ones with dates and places that I know.

so the place and date are guaranteed also immediately.

Have you looked at the other offering and seem if they could fill your order - if they can - I might point them out to RCI (Skyauction) and see what they can do.

One of the Hilton Grand Vacation CLub that I was betting on disappear (and I mean disappeared) - it was gone - so they have a way to take the auctions off if necessary - this was because the it finalized - way before like 2 days.

good luck!!!

I just looked at RCI vacation rentals and they don't have many for April - the only ones that they have for April 22 were places that I had never heard of - sorry - hope you get what you want.

Thanks everyone. I just booked POP Century as a back up and I know I should have waited for dates before winning the auction but they just seemed so plentiful last year. Worse comes to worse we will just use it this summer for a place here in canada.

:jester: Hi Folks: The RSG on skyauction CLEARLY tells you to check what resorts and dates are available. You can reserve a room that you find subject to winning auction. NO guarantee is made that other rooms will be available in future.

I love skyauction and have sucessfully booked over 25 trips with them for myself, family and friends. Never had a problem and they are very helpful.

I think this is the rule with skyauction RSG auctions. You really have to wait until you see the resort you want before you bid, not the other way around.

I had a weird thing happen with me - I bid on an RSG after selecting the resort I wanted, which happened to be Silver Lake Resort. I then bid and won, this was on December 23rd at about 4pm. I got confirmation that Silver Lake was available and that I would get a voucher in 24 hours. Next day was Christmas Eve, and as it turns out, their employees were off Christmas Eve, Christmas Day and that entire weekend, so somehow my ressies at Silver Lake dropped off the system and they never could fulfill them. I demanded I get compensated for that, since I DID reserve the resort before bidding, as they say to do on their website, so they were committed to finding something comprehable for me. They gave me a Sheraton Vistana 2 bedroom at a RSG price - I got lucky, but wow, what a hassle. I must have called them about 20 times. All is well now, though, and I'd bid again - I'd just stay away from the RSG auctions unless I knew FOR SURE which resort I wanted and I wouldn't bid over a long Holiday weekend.

Hopefully the inventory will start looking a little better for your trip.

I agree, the inventory is definetly slim pickings. It has changed. Now, they have a lot more of bid per night and a lot less 7 night stays. Oh yea, you can book OLCC, VR, or SB at $500 or $600. But it is hard to pay that much when you have paid $250 for previous visits. I was going to try to get to Florida next month, but I guess I will go somewhere else.
I had the same thing happen to me like Snoopy. It wasn't even a holiday. I didn't push it enough to get reservations elsewhere, but they did credit my card.
