skyauction increased prices for timeshares

Some of the off-season Extra Vacation prices aren't too bad, for those of you with access to RCI Weeks---$390 for a 2BR GC in late September. Not Last Call, but not bad.

The same 3 bedroom unit at Cypress Pointe that I mentioned above is on auction again, a new one, with an opening bid of $6 + $295 (but it still says the reserve price would not be met at that price). It will be interesting to see what happens with that.

There is one in Kissimmee with a bid of $350 PLUS a $295 resort fee.

We won't be using SkyAuction anymore at those prices!

Well, travel, both nationally and to the Orlando area specifically, has completely recovered from 9/11 etc. The central florida area is as busy as it's ever been. It's not surprising that the truly rock-bottom deals have started to dry up...

their booking engine I think is the next best place to search for vacation rentals. I saw some pretty nice buy it now deals. Hopefully this will stay the same....

Scooby: what time of the year are you looking for? I am looking at week 49 in Orlando and the nice quality places are going for $900 US/wk on their buy it now link. Too much for me.

yea but you are dealing with the owner of the timeshare.

so offer what you can afford - some will say 'no' - but someone will probably say yes.
