Anyone ever used these. Any good? Do you need to book special seats or do they save them for sky cot users

They're only for bulkhead seats so request one and it's possible you'll get one of those if you request a skycot.

They're not all that good though, more like a padded box for your baby to lie in

Bulkhead is the front seats basically as the skycot attached to a wall. If you've requested a skycot it means there's a chance you'll get it but it's not guaranteed:)

Unfortunately that doesn't mean anything. The bulkhead seats are allocated on a needs basis.

They will be allocated to people with special needs before being used for skycots. Then the sky cots are given out is a specific order too.

Having used one when DD was an infant they are only really any good for babies up to 6 months old after that they are tight fit.

We booked ours last year as soon as the flights were released. We got one on the the way out but not on the way back. The bulk head seats were needed for other passengers with special needs!

There's a lot of bulk head seats though

Actually there isn't. In economy there is 3 sets of 4 bulkhead heads. There is a maximum of 5 sky cot positions. Depending on loads it is very conceivable that you could have 6 special needs passengers requiring this seats ahead of an infant request for a sky cot.

The seat map can be found here

I still like the odds but i would happily miss out if special needs passengers need them
