Sky Auction Question for trip coming very soon!

I have been considering using Sky Auction to make reservations for our upcoming trip to Orlando. We've been there twice just since Thanksgiving and this will be our third trip since then.

Can someone please tell me how the extra fees and taxes work? Do you bid an amount and if you win then you pay the extras on top of that? To better explain: If I look at a Wyndham property and put in a bid and win- I pay the bid amount plus what it lists as "taxes only $195 for the week" or the "additional $295 per room" ? I know there is the $20 processing fee. I just want to make sure I'm reading all of the fine print before I bid.

Anyone that has used Sky Auction please let me know your experience.

I have used skyauction certificates many times and I have never had to pay another cent - except for the time that we asked to be switched to another room at our resort because we didn't like the room we were in. We were there for about an hour, but we had pulled back the covers and used some of the toiletries, so I understand the extra cost - even still, I told them I was willing to pay half of what they wanted and they accepted it. Side note: we had stayed at the resort many times and knew what they had to offer and got something much less.

For 6 years we have pretty much exclusively used SkyAuction.com for our places to stay for Disney vacations. I would venture to guess we have used them about 14 times now.

The most recent years we have purchased blowout weeks where you buy them for $149-$249 per week and pay nothing else. There used to be a $20 processing fee, but our last purchases didn't even have that.

Blowout weeks require you to purchase in advance and book when you are ready.

If you are buying them directly from the site (not blow out weeks in advance), you pay a bit more.

The $195-$295 is the amount you pay. There is no other tax or charge. There *may* be a $20 processing fee. It seems that sometimes there is and sometimes there isn't. Just read the fine print. But that would be the only other charge.

We are currently staying at Summer Bay Resort in a 2 bedroom condo and LOVE it! This place is very nice. I do think they were supposed to give us the older units and we ended up in the new section, but I am not positive about that.

We have been happy in MOST places we have stayed. There were a couple of "eh, we won't come here again if we don't have to" places, but all in all we only had one place we are adament we will not return to (it was a Westgate property.)

Blow out weeks are offered periodically. I either get info on them through emails or through Facebook. Just "like" SkyAuction on FB and there is often info posted there.

Hi I just went to skyauction and in the upper left hand corner noticed "Last Minute Vacation Rentals". After doing a little browsing I was shocked by a few of the deals. I cross reference them with tripadvisor.com to see reviews. Hope this helps.
