Someone I met recently told me they went to Disney and took a "guided tour", which basically sounds like you pay by the hour to have a Disney CM bring you to the front of every attraction without having to wait in line. I have never heard of this. Is this for real, and if so what does it cost?? I can only imagine it would be very expensive!!

Universal offers a guided tour like that, but the guided tours at Disney are a little different.

Each of Disney's park offers different tours. Each one has a guide, and share information, secrets, little known facts, etc. about the park. The most popular one is The Keys to the Kingdom tour. Lots of insight and history into the Magic Kingdom, and they take you on a couple rides.

Celebrities get that treatment so they can enjoy a family vacation without mobs of people bothering them (can't blame them for wanting peace and quiet with their own kids!) but they pay thru the nose for it.

For us common folk, the "keys" tour does get you to the head of the line on 2 attractions, when I went it was Haunted Mansion and POTC. But the focus of the tour was all the behind the scenes stuff, the Utilador and so forth. Great tour, I'd recomend it for repeat visitors that are looking for something differant. Kid's aren't allowed though, adults only.
