Would a window of 9:45 - 10:45 for our first FP to The Land give us enough time to do rope drop TT and then standby Soarin' though? We are talking the last week of August, which hopefully won't be as busy as, say, June.

If you RD Test Track and you get there just a bit early so you aren't at the back of the line entering the park, you should be off Test Track by 9:20. A 10 minute walk to Soarin' would put you in line there around 9:30. I'd say if it isn't a busy time (and more importantly isn't an EMH morning at Epcot), your actual wait time for Soarin' should be 20 minutes or less. That would put you off Soarin' and at Living with the Land around 10:00 am. The 9:45-10:45 FP time I gave you would allow you to get into line for Living with the Land up until 11:00 AM because you get a 15 minute grace period after the official end time of the FP window. That would allow a whole hour of buffer time to my timings if for some reason 20 giant groups of Brazilian teenagers hop into the TT or Soarin' line ahead of you or something. If you feel more comfortable making it 10:00 to 11:00 (which would allow you to get into line up until 11:15) that's fine, but the slightly earlier time I suggested means you could make your 2nd FP earlier (10:45 to 11:45) and be able to utilize it earlier if you make better than expected time on TT and Soarin'.

I took your advice ucfknight. Thank you. We have 9:55 FP to Living with the Land; 10:55 FP to Spaceship Earth and then 12:00 Frozen. We are staying at YC, so there won't be a problem getting to the park early, and it is not an EMH. If it seems to be busier than normal, we will do Soarin' at RD and do TT as single riders. And thank you all for your advice.
