Ski Resort Exchange Questions

Has anyone had any luck exchanging for ski seaon? I've had a search in for Marriott Slopeside in Park City since June 04 for Feb 06 with no luck (Dean gave me a heads up that this would be a hard match). Anyone had successful trades into any of the Park City resorts?

I've exchanged at the Ridge in Lake Tahoe (Heavenly). We tried to exchange into the Marriots at the Main Base Lodge but it is pretty much impossible to do. I assume that is the same situation you are in. The Ridge was a beautiful 1BR with jacuzzi located at the Stagecoach lodge at Heavenly. I highly recommend this facility it is quite nice. It is about a 5min drive into the main strip area of Heavenly (Casino's, restaurants, shops etc) but there are also shuttles running to the main strip. For skiing we did Heavenly, Kirkwood, Squaw Valley and Alpine Meadows. All of them were fabulous and within 1hr drive. (Heavenly you can walk to the lifts)

Unless you do a private trade that will be tough. But this is exactly the reason I say do the research on your own. Those weeks weren't eligible to deposit until Feb of 2005 and few will be deposited. Most, if not all, will go to waiting MVCI owners due to the internal trading priority. Actually most units not used by owners will be rented out and not even deposited. You're best changes will be somewhere around August and December. Renting your weeks then paying cash might be best. Still, one might get lucky so no reason not to try.
