Tell me more about Ski Patrol Training Camp, especially for children who do not swim in deep water. The descriptions say the water is 8 feet deep, but photos I've seen doesn't look like it's that deep at the end of the slides or where kids walk across floating icebergs holding onto rope overhead. DS6 is too big for Tikes Peak. We will do the other water slides where 2+ people can go down together and the tobaggan racers, but was wondering if the Ski Patrol Training Camp area has anything for him to do. Thank you if you can help answer these questions.

  1. DS6 is not afraid of going under water but he is not a good enough swimmer for deep water without the floation vest. He is just learning to swim and float. Can you wear the vest at Ski Patrol Training Camp?
  2. On the iceberg challenge course, can Dad walk across in the water to help DS back up on the iceberg if he falls off and can't get back up on his own? Or would DS have to swim out? It would take him forever to swim all the way out!
  3. How are the slides at Ski Patrol Training Camp? A photo showed it's only 2 feet deep at the end.
  4. Anything else to do in that part of Blizzard Beach? I saw the T-bar slide... that is 8 feet.

I was at Blizzard Beach the past two years. My daughter loves the training camp area. She is 9 and a good swimmer. I can telly you the 8 feet of water is for the zip line wouldn't work for your guy.

The slides do come out into about two feet and they are good. They have tubes you can sit in and then I believe they have non-tube ones.

I have not seen parents with the kids on the ice-burg challenge course. I believe they would have to swim. There are some other things for your son to do. BB is a great water park. :goodvibes
