YIPPEEE!!!! My son (who will be 14 y.o.) & I will be making our 1st overseas trip in August. We're both skateboarding enthusiasts - he skates, I love to watch. Any places we can go legally or "semi-legally" near the city or easy to get to from a Tube stop?

Can't wait to get there!!

Thanks for your help - Jane:wave2:

Just a little :bounce:BUMP:bounce: up for you Jane to see if any one else can help.

Dont know if this is any help, just found this on a Search
and this on Google.

Skateboarding Spots

skateboard park near westbourne park tube. overpriced skateboard/roller blading facility on acklam rd [the playstation one]
Royal oak, under the bridge, two concrete halfpipes, n some rails that skaters have built, great fun especially wen its raining, its under cover, course theres playstation, and westbourne park.
Skate bowls in Meanwhile Gardens near Westbourne Park tube are being redone at present (Spring 2000)
Large mellow double bowl. On the rough side in several senses of the word. Good from a nostalgia point of view, but little else.

Hope this helps

That's excellent - thanks for the response!! I'm glad to have the info re: Playstation. He wants to go skating all over the city and get pics taken, while I'm more of a skaredy cat and want to go to sanctioned parks. We've gotten into a bit of trouble in Philadelphia and I don't want that to happen in London.

We'll be staying near Victoria tube - so it doesn't look like it will be too bad of a trip.

Thanks again - Merry Christmas!!:teeth:
