Size (in inches) of the inroom safes?

I am considering bringing my laptop - but wanted to know the size of the inroom safe - to know it will be locked up.

Anyone know this information?

Looks about 12 inches wide, by 9 inches high and 3 inches deep. There not very big.

They vary. Where are you staying? The new ones at the Polynesian easily hold a laptop. They actually seem designed for that. Not all rooms there have that design yet though. However others have posted that they could fit a laptop in by angling it in the "old" design. Those safes are roomy but more of a block design.

Anyway, if you let us know which resort someone will be able to help I think.

We just came back from POR and the room safe was not big enough to hold a laptop. I am assuming that the safes at POFQ would be the same since these were built at the same time.

I just returned from POFQ yesterday. The safe in the room will not hold your laptop. For what it is worth, I left my laptop in its case sitting under the bench in the room for 8 days without incident. I have been to WDW three years in a row with my laptop and have never been afraid to leave it, my video camera, etc. in the room. I don't know about anybody else's experience but mine have all been positive.

POFQ's safes are exactly like the ones that BUZZ has a picture of from CSR earlier in this thread.

I could fit my PassPorter book (sideways) in it, and that's about it!

Here is a photo of the French Quarter's in-room safe: click here. It is definitely too small for a standard size laptop.

you will not get a laptop in the safes at POFQ, however we took our laptop and just put it inbetween the wall and the bed, we did this for 16 nights with no issues.

Thanks for all the information and hints about how to keep your laptop safe. I will see if it fits - but it looks doubtful - especially since it is one of the newer laptops with the bigger (15.4 inch) monitors.
