First of all let me say I am a National Rental Car loyalist! But has anyone ever rented using Sixt Rental Cars. They have some great rates and what appear to be nicer than most rental vehicles. Just wanted to know the good, the bad, and the ugly before I jump right in.

Thanks!

I don't know anything about that company, but I will tell you that for ME, one of the most important considerations when renting a car in Orlando is WHERE DO I PICK UP THE CAR? If I can pick it up in the terminal, I will consider it as a valid option. If I have to take a shuttle bus from the airport to the Rental Car pickup, forget it, I'm not interested no matter how cheap the rental is going to be.

If you have to shuttle to the rental car office, it adds extra time and stress, which is too much for me. Last time I accidental got a car from offsite company and taking the shuttle was a huge PITA. I got all stressed out about getting from the car drop off back to the airport, and it took a lot of extra time (plus it was a pain to drag the luggage and the children on the shuttle). I much rather walk from baggage claim to the elevator, cross the road and pick up my car right there in the garage.

I rented from them in Germany and they were great. No idea about in the States.

I've never heard of them either. I looked at the cars and the OP is correct, the cars are higher end makes. I couldn't figure out the classification codes, however. Picking the car up offsite, is the impression I'm left with. I would like to more feedback, as well.

I did a google search for reviews on them yesterday because we are searching for a rental for May in Orlando. The Miami location had a lot of complaints for poor customer service but the Orlando location had nothing but positives. I too hate renting off property, but it would save me about $70 so I may just take the plunge and give them a try. I keep hoping other car rental companies will be more competitive because of them!

I had to rush on here to tell everyone - we got a fully loaded Mercedez Benz!! We booked the cheapest class too! We are dying here it's so cool! The employees were very very nice too. We picked up at PBI and will drop off at MCO. I'll update again.

I have rented from Sixt rent a car in Orlando they were really nice and the chepaest on in Orlando. However they are located off the airport making it a good 10 minute shuttle to get the cheap car rental. So if you are willing to take a ride to get your car it is worth it.
