Six Flags Teacher Tickets

So I just purchased 3 adult tickets & 1 child ticket for Six Flags off of Ebay. I got them today and on the back of the adult ones they say that you must have a teacher ID or paystub from the past 90 days in order to turn it in for a valid ticket. There was no mention of this in the Ebay ad. Anyone have experience with these tickets? Do they really check ID's? I paid $85 for them.. they lady had 100% positive feedback, I sent her a message already.. ugh..

As a former GR employee at a local Six Flags park, I can tell you that if they say they're teacher tickets, it will be checked 100% when you go to turn them in, and if you to not have the pay stub you will not be allowed to use the tickets.

Good thing you read the back; hope you can get your money returned to you!

My kids get the Six Flags reading program tickets every year and we saw someone turned away last year because she did not have a teacher ID. Hope you can get your $$ back.

They definitely check because they are comp tickets for the kids and teachers as part of a reading program. I'd get your money back.

While I'm a teacher and they've never asked for my id, I would definitely NOT take a chance. Get your money back. That's a lot of money to be out and what an embarrassment if you got turned away.

I'm a teacher and I WAS checked.

They accepted a school photo ID marked "faculty" as an alternative to a paycheck. But, since you aren't a teacher, I think you might be in trouble.

What if you are a homeschooling mom who doesn't have a teacher ID? I've gotten one before for that and was never checked..... maybe they have changed their policy, though.

I'd say you are entitled to get your money back. Someone is trying to make a lot of money on comp. tickets? Really? At least they should state they can be used by teachers only. I would not accept anything but all money back, including taxes. Can't you do a response/update to your seller rating?

If you don't hear back from the seller or if she doesn't give you a satisfactory answer, file a dispute with eBay or Paypal. File an 'item not as described' dispute and explain what was not advertised. I believe they will require you to return the tickets to her, but then you should be given a full refund.

sounds like false advertising to me....
and Id be angry about paying for a return shipping if she purposely mislead you to think they were regular valid unused tix.
Another reason to not buy ANY type tickets off ebay, craigslist etc etc...
not worth the risk or aggravation

If you paid by cc you can reverse the charge, document all and call them, they are better than dealing with paypal.....

the HOMESCHOOL read to succeed tickets are different than the ones that are given out to public school teachers. The linked-email ticket that you get for the homeschool program doesn't require you to show ID. We homeschool, but my DH is a public school teacher and his ticket is different and has the ID requirement while ours don't.

but chicagoshannon, if you are worried about it, give them a call at the park to confirm. that should set you at ease.
