Hello! I live in St. Louis - and while I love my city I can tell you now that Six Flags will be a disappointment to you. It needs to be painted, there are no good quality shows, and the park just has that run down look to it. Yeah there are some okay to great rides however you will stand in huge lines in the hot July sun.
On the upside our Zoo is fantastic and FREE! Forest Park is a really nice area with a really great Art Museum.
However you can come to St. Louis anytime it sounds like (since you live close to Branson). If I was in your shoes - I would save and go to Disney!
