Sitting without mobile order?

We did not have tables available when our order was up when we went in May so agree to disagree on that one. Haha

Is there a difference between “agree to disagree” and “disagree” — why the extra words?

Not the poster you quoted but “Agree to disagree “ is a pretty common phrase, basically meaning we don’t agree but I don’t want to continue debating/discussing.
Yeah it’s a cheap way to try to get the last word in. If the person genuinely didn’t want to continue discussing, then they wouldn’t make the comment. It’s basically saying “I’m going to say what I think and then don’t respond”

i never once saw the whole ride. I always fell asleep during it lol
Ive had fully laid down on the benches in that ride and snored. My daughter and and I tried riding it several times just before its closure. I never made it, The ingrained habit was too strong. My daughter told me I hadn't missed anything. If Disney ever wants an upcharge that would stay booked? Air conditioned napping pods in park. Take my money, take it all.

My mother is up there in age and a recent cancer survivor….
I have gone to the 1st aid stations in the parks to cool down. I'm not use to the heat/humidity. And as a wonderful surprise, Mickey and Minnie came out from the back. You never saw 50 years old jump up so fast. They stopped to have a picture taken.

Google Magic Kingdom cabanas. Not enough other guests agreed with you

I am at cedar point and purchased vip access for $40 and have been chilling on a sofa all afternoon while the teens ride (and wait in insane lines which we are calling prep for MK as it is 70’s and sunny and the place is packed). Being under a tent in the breeze reading has been worth every penny. The area is kind of tucked away near the lake so it isn’t too blatantly annoying to everyone else. I told my daughter I really wanted to full on lay down and sleep but have this far resisted the urge. It also includes a parade viewing area and I think a spot for the night show if I so desire.

Omg, I had no idea these existed (briefly)!

I wonder if it would have made a difference if they had installed AC in them. Waaaay too expensive for me, AC or no AC, but from the reports I'm reading this summer of miserable heat, maybe they would have been more popular now.

I think AC would have been a game changer. Without it they really don't know if it would have been popular. They could have made them a permanent pod city in that dead area, added more to top of bathroom roof creating a fireworks observation deck. So much potential lost.

Country Bears is also a great place in MK to get out of the heat, sun, and humidity and sit down for a while. But you probably won't get a nap there. CoP, though, is another story--great nap material.

An overlooked indoor attraction at DHS is Vacation Fun--a short movie. You won't sleep--well, at least I didn't, since the movie is adorable--but you'll be out of the sun, sitting, and in air-conditioning.

In Epcot, I always go to the Mexico pavilion when I've had it with the sun/heat/humidity. It's very cool in there and it's fun to browse around. The boat ride is also cool--the temperature, I mean, not the ride itself!

DAK is another story altogether. It's my fave park, but unless you want to subject yourself to insect images (ITtBaB), I can't think of an indoor, cool place where one can rest.

Back to the QS table thing . . . In May my sister and I had mobile-ordered at Woody's and we got there maybe 10 minutes early. There were easily 10 or 15 empty tables in the seating area. My sister was exhausted and there was nowhere, except the ground, to sit in the waiting-to-get-summoned area. We pretty much begged the CM at the front and told her that of course we'd give up the seats/table if necessary and she let us come in and sit down before our order was ready. I think we were in the seats for 5 minutes before we got the notice that our order was ready to pick up.

I'm not sure what advantage it is to WDW to not have sufficient shaded seating areas throughout the parks, but there should be many, many more than there currently are. If they're trying to drive business into the stores, it's not working for me, because if I'm hot, tired, exhausted, and overcome, the very last thing I want to do is purchase something that's not a cold drink, a Dole Whip, or another frozen dessert.
