Hello! We went in May and I didn’t like not being able to sit for a quick break without mobile order at quick service restaraunts in MK.

We are going back in August. Does anyone know if its still set up that way?

Two weeks ago. We were not permitted to enter the buildings until we showed them our mobile order was ready at MK and AK. We did TS at Epcot and did not go to DHS.

There are areas to sit without food. There are places to sit near the tangled bathrooms. There are rocking chairs and benches on the porches in Frontierland that are shaded. benches are by the bathrooms off to the side of Space Mountain. Keep an eye out. There are spots in each of the lands where you can take a break.

There is usually an area in Tomorrowland Terrace that has open seating. We also found a few benches by Space Mountain that many don't seem to notice. They are not letting people into the restaurants freely yet.

Not only cannot you not sit w/o ordering anything, you cannot sit until you actually have your food. One of the best things about mobile order IMO....always a table available for those who want to eat.

As others have said, there are plenty of non restaurant locations to sit and take a break without taking up a table for those who are trying to eat.

We did not have tables available when our order was up when we went in May so agree to disagree on that one. Haha
We were there in April and every QS lunch, we were able to find a table easily once we got our food. The staff would not let anyone in until you showed the message on your phone that your food was ready.
Maybe they had increased capacity a lot by the time you arrived?

July 4th was the first time I ate at Casey’s without having to do Hunger Games for a table…it’s like my mind didn’t know how to process what was happening.

We were there in May. Yes, heaven forbid we wanted to sit in AC for a few minutes on a 95 degree day. My mother is up there in age and a recent cancer survivor….when she was overheated and needed to sit no cast members would let us in. We had a mobile order but it was too far out.

This is my first time posting on here and I am kind of surprised at the level of “shaming” for asking a simple question. Lesson learned on coming here for advice.

The QS was Pecos Bill

I looked back at the responses and don't see any "shaming" in the replies.
You asked a simple question and the answer was no they don't let you.
I understand in your situation why you wanted to be inside to rest. But as noted, there were many areas to sit.
For many of us that were frustrated in the past trying to find a place to sit after we had our food and saw many tables being saved for somebody somewhere in line, we are very happy with the new policy. Nothing works for everyone.

When I was getting overly warm a quick trip to the restrooms for AC and a cool splash of water helped. Ice water is your friend.
