SithS (Star Wars Dessert Party) Roll Call 2016 (Dates Released through Oct)

Just made a reservation for 7/25. I am anxious to see how getting a good view goes with the new set up. We are all short so hopefully we will not have our view blocked by taller people.

Added you. I am curious too, because I am short.

Against the rope is all disabled lower tables with room to stand behind them if needed before the taller tables start.. nobody complained of being too short when I saw them (and I'm not short).

I do recommend you go in as early as you can, have a table holder and get a table in the front as close to the middle of the "hub" as you can though. The trees that block part of the party view is annoying.

My daughter will be in a wheelchair. Will there be a chair for me to sit? What time would you recommend we arrive?

Just did the Dessert Party tonight! It was fantastic! Got the 3rd row from the front and the 2nd row from the middle of the Chinese Theater...I say it is worth the price. My Dad and I got there around 8:00 to check-in and we waited in line until it opened. The food/dessert were good. I'm a non-alcoholic drinker and really liked the lemonades that they had. To everyone doing the Dessert Party in the future, have fun! Btw...The show is absolutely amazing!!!

I honestly don't remember but I want to say yes there was chairs to go with the lower tables in the front. nobody was standing up next to those tables but some stood behind them so they could see over them. Very nice setup actually for disable needs. I arrived when it said too (I think it was 8:45) but most had gone in already. Nobody was taking a low table that didn't need it though.

As of July 10th the dessert party will be inside launch bay and then they will walk everyone, 15 minutes before the show to the reserved area, so no more getting tables by the ropes. I'm thinking the area outside will be smaller since there will be no need for tables or food. So they will have more space for people without the Dessa party

There are no chairs at all. It's standing room only, they do have the reserved w/c tables and I'm sure, once the party moves inside, they will also have lower tables there

I share your concern! I'll definitely be looking for early reviews the first week or two after the change.

Does anyone know when the dessert parties for August will be released? Aug 1st is the first day of our visit and my sons love Star Wars. Is there any chance that there will be seats for the inside dessert part? Also, how many people attend - I'm happy to get there early for a good spot but sounds like it might be a bit of a free for all when everyone is moved outside for fireworks.

Thanks!
Deirdre

I would keep an eye on the following thread. August dates have not been released yet. They are releasing stuff very slowly. We don't know what will happen once the party moves into Launch Bay on 7/10. However, I don't know if there will be enough room in Launch Bay for chairs, especially if it's not closed off to the rest of the guests. Someone will report back onto the following thread after the 7/10 party about what happened.

Bummer about them moving it inside
I had to do one like that in April due to rain. I really hated that set up compared to it all being outside. Ours was in Dis Jr but being in the launch bay won't make it better
It makes me rethink our reservation.
For now we are down for 7/25. DH, me and DGD

i want to see what the reviews are saying. Having air conditioning while eating would be nice though, but generally, I am a little skeptical of this too.
